Day 05 of our 31 Days of Guten Gardening Gardening Gift Giving focuses on the many different fruits and vegetables we have grown in our indoor gardens here at Guten Gardening.

One of the things we know is that gardeners often limit themselves when it comes to deciding what they can or should grow in their indoor gardens. We want to encourage everyone to think outside the box and consider branching out with they attempt to grow.

Whether we are talking about growing microgreens or growing potatoes indoors or growing sweet potatoes indoors, there are so many options, and we show you just some of the many we have tried and grown successfully.

We hope you enjoy this video, and check out our other days of giving videos.

Today’s Giveaway winner gets TWO prizes: both of which can be found here if you want to buy your own:

  1. I’m not brave enough to try growing potatoes inside. I do have a cutting from my Cherokee Purple from my summer garden that is doing fantastic. 8 good size tomatoes and 1 still small tomato. Can’t wait until they ripen! 🍅

  2. Congratulations to the winner. And I have been telling everyone to watch your videos. I don't think most people know you can continue to grow indoors during the winter.

  3. Congratulations to the winner! I'd be doing some things indoors this winter, but I'll be in Calif. But my sister has a garden, and I'm going to be bringing my alfalfa seeds to grow sprouts.

  4. Congratulations to the winner!
Thanks for the reminder of all the luscious produce I can be grown indoors… Makes me anxious to begin!
(I will have to go back and get a count of the things you mentioned that could be grown!)
I absolutely love the micro greens and would highly recommend growing them!!!

  5. I am currently trying a hydro garden with lettuce mix from local Amish place. It germinated in 3 days! Hoping it works out…

  6. Microgreens are something I've thought about trying to grow. Haven't done that yet. Maybe this winter. Congrats to the winner!

  8. Congratulations winner.
I've tried to grow indoors before, but I was never very successful at it. I currently only have a couple of cacti indoors and everything else outside.
I still have some plants (purple Vienna kohlrabi, red sorrel, sugar beets, garlic, walking onions, and perennials) outside. Since the rainy cold season is here I haven't done much gardening. I should pull the weeds, but I haven't. Maybe after the holidays I'll have some time, energy, and dry weather at the same time to get stuff done.

  9. Hey hey from iowaaaaay ! Need to get my green stalks inside and planted.

  10. Congratulations to the winner! That's a neat looking light bulb. I haven't seen that one.

There are so many things I wanted to overwinter this year. I took cuttings from the red malabar spinach in my greenhouse before a cold snap killed it, rooted them in water and potted them up, and now they're growing berries everywhere. Trying to overwinter my cotton plants and habanero to see if I can actually get flowers and fruits next year. Most recently, I sprouted some lemon seeds from a storebought lemon (wish I'd known a few years ago how much better they germinate when you peel them first) and they're just growing their little true leaves. My corner is getting crowded, but there's still so much I want to grow!

  11. I haven't really attempted much indoors, but I have grown lettuce and there was one time I grew a bell pepper plant. That was fun, but my cats kept wanting to knock it over so it didn't finish inside. I kind of have a dream of digging the concrete floor out of my basement and just turning it into an indoor garden lol.

  12. That radish growing container looks familiar… I may have saved my container from today from my taco bell 7 layer nacho fries for a similar purpose! 😁

  13. So many good choices of things to try. Having a hard time deciding what I want to try next. I've got lettuce that was planted exactly one week ago and there are already 17 plants that have sprouted.

  14. Congratulations!

It’s amazing the amount of groceries you successfully grow indoors! Kudos to you!

  15. I've grown mushrooms, bell peppers, jalepeno peppers, basil.. I live in NYC and have a mini green house in my living room, using grow lights

  16. Congratulations to the winner! I love the Sansei lights. I have successfully grown and harvested Roselle indoors using the same setup that you just won! You are going to love your light!

By the way, there were 29 fruits and veggies (by my count) mentioned in this video.

  17. Great giveaway! I have that grow light and did a review of it. Tl dr, it worked great! It’s what I used with my indoor radish experiment.

Have you done an in-depth look at your indoor setup? I’d like to see this tent you have
