Holidays in the Garden Day 13! :: Late Fall/Winter Garden Clean Up!

“Bad weather always looks worse through a window.” -Tom Lehrer

Welcome to DAY 13 of the Holidays in the Garden Series! Join me today for some garden cleanup! To be honest, I REALLY didn’t feel like going outdoors today. It was cold and wet and the last place I wanted to be! However, once I got myself outside and starting breathing in the fresh air, I knew it was exactly what I needed! 💗 Enjoy!

  1. This "thyme" of year in the PNW gardeners do it in the rain. 🌧️🎄😉
Thx for your videos love each and every one of them.

  2. Clean up, I don't do as much as I used to in autumn/winter, just the need be things that should go. A guy I love in the UK suggested being a lazy gardener, so I leave some things for the bugs and the like to use for their winter home. And I do see the birds enjoying the seeds I leave behind.

  3. Happy Wednesday Janey. That late Fall/Winter garden looks absolutely lovely. Thanks for sharing another video.

  4. Another wonderful and inspirational video Janey. Thank you, and it really put a smile on my face to see your gorgeous sweet bunny again.

  5. Your garden looks so beautiful. Today is clean up day at my moms. It requires a golf cart and trailer. She lives on 6 acres. About 2 are landscaped. The two entryway beds are about 20 feet square each. I hope we can get it done before the rain. Have a wonderful day.

  6. That's a Mock Orange tree? What's the botanical name please? I have a few Choisya Ternata (Sundance) shrubs that are also nick-named Mock Orange. According to my Sunset Western Garden Book and the nurseries here in France. Please enlighten me Janey?

  7. Great content always! I live in Missouri, zone 6b, and still learn something. The "In The Garden Barrier Cream" you mentioned on Day 1 of Holidays In the Garden is amazing. What a treat! This will be a staple gift for the gardeners I know. Happy Holidays🌲

  8. I felt the same way yesterday! When it’s cold and wet I don’t want to go outside! But when I did then I didn’t want to stop. Great video. 😊

  9. I really enjoy your video's. Thank you. I have a question about your pollinator garden in your stock tanks? Do they get overly hot in the summer and does it affect your plants? I'm getting ready to install some raised beds and am considering stock tanks, but it gets really hot here during the summer. Thanks

  10. You got a lot done in your garden. It looks wonderful. Love your pup and bunny. My brother and I had bunnies when we were kids, Sniffy and Snoopy.

  11. Good morning Janey, this has nothing to do with this video lol but…. my daughter was invited to Redding for “garden of lights” and I looked it up and realized it was at Turtle Bay and immediately thought of your video you did there. In the words of Janey… “oh my goodness” it looks spectacular this time of year!! 😊

  12. I woke up feeling like you… Not wanting to get into the yard today. But after watching your video I am completely inspired. Your good motivation for me Jeanne! Also a little trick with bunny… My friend had a bunny that I would sometimes watch while they were on vacation. When I needed to get her to come inside, I just shook a bag of treats, and Mabel would come running! Hope this helps!
