Problems In My Garden | This Was Not Part Of The Plan

We’re just a few days into November, and we’re already experiencing cold and stormy weather here in Portland. Last night was (what might be?!) the beginning of blizzard-like winds and rain for this winter, that already, I find myself doing some unplanned pruning and faced with yet another damaged tree to content with…this was not part of the plant for today! This morning I was surprised (and saddened) to see what the wind did to our beloved butterfly tree. Grab your rain gear and your pruning shears and join me as I get up, get out, and get active on this blustery Autumn morning.

  1. Hi Juanita. What a shame to cut down the beautiful tree but it does look damaged. I'm sure you will find something to replace it. Hope you had a hot cup of tea and sat by the fireplace ( if you have one inside the house ) to get cozy and warm. Good to see you. Take care.
