  1. Ron, I think you misunderstood your own prompt a bit, raveler is arguably an example of batesian mimicry and not convergent evolution.

Based of your description Raveler doesn't look like graveler because it had the same niche which resulted in similar Pokémon, which would be convergent evolution. It resembles graveler to fool predators into mistaking it for a graveler, which would be batesian mimicry.

Claire did the same thing with all her mind. Convergent evolution isn't about mimicing anything. Similarities among convergent evolved species is a result of trying to fill the same function, not evolutionary pressure to actually look alike.

This is also apparent in that many famous examples of convergent evolution doesn't live anywhere near to each other, so there is no point in mimicing each other.

Brachiosaurus and a Giraffe is a good example of convergent evolution, they are separated by millions of years, but their body plan is the same. Very long neck, not much of a tail and bigger front limps than hind legs. They obviously aren't mimicing each others, it just happens to be the case that they have the same body plan because they are trying to do the same thing and reach high into the top of trees.

  2. Jack really is the best fakemon artist out there imo
the care he puts into his designs is just incredible

  3. Graveler bug, Impotter and Togekoo are closer to mimicry than to convergent evolution, but I do like all of today's designs. Might be the best episode so far in that regard. My favorite however is Mudsdile

  4. I love that Vladikrab's body LOOKS like a bug's head/face, with the main pincers being the antennae. Absolutely genius

  5. Hands down, my favorite Fakemon in this list is Mudsdile. ALL the facts connected to it, I know by heart because I've always been a smidget of a paleontology and cryptozoology buff !! I LOVE IT! DeadSpaceSpread did a SOLID one!!

  6. I love Claire’s art style because it makes all her pokemon art look like it’s from early generations

  7. I would love to see a modpack of all the pokemon from this series for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with 3d models and stuff. Either that or just for them to hire a guy who does 3d modeling an 3d animations so we can see what these pokemon would look like in game, that would be amazing cuz I love all these designs. 😁

  8. Really love this series! Seeing different artstyles from different fakemon artists is really amazing and interesting.

  9. Claire’s “Turtles all the Way Down” reverence was what I needed, but I didn’t know I did.

  10. YALL NEED TO WORK FOR POKEMON FNKASJGVBLASGVBAIBFG THESE DESIGNS ALWAYS BLOW ME AWAY!!!
