Good tips. With keeping the heating down I felt the cold today on the allotment . Something I never feel. I’m getting older now so need to be careful of cold induced heart attacks.
Good tips Steve, attention to detail can save you a lot of trouble later on.
Another tip, if you use butane for making a cuppa at the plot, the butane gas doesn't work when temperatures are very low. If you can get propane gas it will burn at lower temperature. Failing that take a flask of hot water with you. A hot drink helps to make you feel warmer when working out in the cold.

Just a wee winter tip i found out if your spending time at the plot over winter and somewhere to go after remember your car windows might have frosted over leave time to let your car heater defrost your windows

Very timely Steve, we've just had a frost warning for a couple of nights from now, I need to get my cold frames sorted, and my salad trays bought in to the conservatory (no poly tunnel or greenhouse)
