Raised Bed Garden Update | Vegetable Gardening In Raised Beds

Raised bed garden update from here on the homestead. As homesteaders, vegetable gardening in our raised beds and row gardens is where a high percentage of our food staples come from. We’ll show you what we are planting and growing today, and share our harvest with you down the road. Come along !

  1. Take chicken wire or hutch wire and wrap the tree bases out about a foot diameter to about 4 feet high. Then for a couple weeks run a low voltage charge to all the trees. It will shock without killing. It won't take to many zaps for any beaver to get the point. They can learn to avoid certain trees and areas until such time as they run out of food. At which point they'll try for Tinas tunnel trees again. That's when you decide if you want to share with, relocate them or find a use for the fur and meat.

  2. Thankyouall for your service. Enjoy your visions. Have been thinking to start gardening again , now my health is improving. I'm thinking raised beds with a seat.

  3. Good Morning, thanks for the new video. A question about the pea bed. What is growing in the center of the wire cage? Is it easy to harvest the peas on the inside of the wire? Also, thank you for your service to your Country.

  4. Love watching your videos, Got my onions in late so yours look a lot better than mine. Have you had issues with red onions in the past? I have heard they are the hardest to grow. Planted 30 reds 20 yellows and 5 whites. Subscribed to Dutch's channel told them you sent us. Sheila and Tom in Georgia

  8. Navy Brat and navy wife here .THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU for your service! And a very SPECIAL thank you to Tina for all of her service, as the spouses are hardly ever given credit for their what some would call sacrifices I call their service. My Dad did 30+ years of service, he is in mid to late stages of Alzheimer's now.. It so sad seeing him go from mighty military Master chief Caldarella to a shell of his former self…
Now then… love your channel and learning so much even though i been gardening for years , you guys teach me something every time I watch.. I am growing kale in a pot and it is magnificent… wish i could share my photos with you.

  9. If you have a chance to catch Mr. beaver Load your shot gun bullets with rock salt and here is what you do. Pepper him with it and he will not come back. It will sting him but will not kill him. There may be more than one so keep an eye out.

  10. I think you look cool in the shades, so no questions about it on my part. Naughty little beaver! Tina is such a hard worker, I love how happy she looks playing in the garden. You both rock! 😊
