We got nothing but rain rain rain over the weekend.. Blessings
Garden is looking good!!! I pushed my CATTLE PANEL TRELLIS up off the ground a good 2 feet, I'm 6' tall so it gives you more head room when walking under, plus if your plants hang down from it you'll have more space. 🙂 <3
Tomatillo is pronounced toe-ma-tee-yo. In Spanish “ll” sounds like a y.
Wow, so many varieties I’ve never heard of! Thanks for the introduction🤝
Beautiful garden. Love you guys. So inspiring.
Y'all are so adorable!!!
I love your garden I'm going to try and sell some of my tomatoes this year I have 120 plants. Do u have any suggestions?
Our sweat is sweating in MICHIGAN too.
I just read that putting bird baths in your garden areas to encourage them to come and drink and eat the bugs…….they also will not peck at your tomatoes to get liquid….
I put out old bread with some bacon grease spread on it and put them into square bird seed block holders and hang them about….
You can always donate some of the extra tomatoes to local nursing homes💛. The activites department will plant them so that the residents cam enjoy them. That's what I do with some of my extras.
My favorite sauces are usually my multi-color tomatoes mixed together!!! I'm excited to try some whites and blacks/purples this year!!
The garden is looking GOOD. I think you two are getting better every year. Hard work is obvious, Keep up the good work. I can tell that you both love your life as homesteaders.
Y’all are so cute and thank you for sharing y’all have a awesome farm
I understand living in Texas now that I can pretty much grow food all year long but is taking my second year to learn this and y’all are very helpful in the succession planting guide your wife is very knowledgeable
Jenn how do you cook patypan
Can't wait to learn canning from you Jen! Just canned my first times last week! ♥ your garden…wish we were in the same zone so I could follow your lead…♥ my blueberries…wish I had room for a fruit tree…
I had planned to move to an area close to you. But just found out that after $2,000 in tires & brakes to be able to pull my horse trailer to move from Michigan, that my trucks frame has almost rusted in two bcuz of the salt used for all of our ice & snow. So, I am having to regroup and change my plans, wait longer, to get moved. But I would love to get some red tomatoes from you, if I can get down there reasonably soon. My garden will be way behind but better late than never, I guess.
Your garden overall looks great!
eggplant is flea beetle's #1 favorite food ( #2 is potatoes). I found that white wood ash sprinkled on the leaves would keep them under control
Your garden is beautiful!
Just stumbled across you channel. I'm really enjoying your content. Thank you for sharing your life with us! ♥
Just found y’all. I like the big variety. Some are new names to me. I have a wacky idea, do you think a sweet potato can grow in a tomato cage? Their vines are sparse and the weeds like to grow in. Do you think I could train them vertically within the wire?
on your cucumber bed do they grow good on side of pallet
I'm growing a variety of tomato's this year. Will be using in salsa's, sauces.
Love your little farm!
I just love how much you guys giggle & find the joy in everything!
Also, I love growing all the colors of tomatoes too!! It’s so beautiful & it offers so much variety.
Our total lot is less than a 1/5 of an acre & we manage to grow a ton of food, have six dogs & we even have a few hens. It’s amazing what you can go in very small spaces if you get creative. However, one day soon, we will have land & I can’t wait!!
So should i be going ahead and cutting my calendula flowers as they bloom so they can dry? Im wanting to make a salve this year. Thank you!
This is from a year ago and I am just watching it now.
