The quantity of golf courses Vietnam may be few, but the quality is off the charts. Erik Anders Lang discovers why it’s become a top destination on this Adventures in Golf, presented by United Airlines.

Highlighting golf’s fun, human, and humorous side. Golf is no longer just the stuffy world of middle-aged country club members. Skratch brings you golf content for a new generation.

From getting the most exotic tee times on Earth (see: Adventures in Golf) to digging into the game’s interesting personalities (see: Skratching the Surface, Finding the Fairway), Skratch showcases a side of golf many would never get to see.

  1. EAL, looks like I am putting Vietnam on my golf bucket list. Thanks for the video. May you hit nothing but fairways and greens and never three putt!!!!

  2. Please never stop doing this my other Erik I just played the course you reviewed it felt good Kathmandu Royal Club

  3. Met EAL in the RGC meet up and he is the real deal and what i thought about him via this series was confirmed talking to him. Great stuff!!

  4. I would love to go to Viet Nam. Great that they are building golf courses. One question. How much does it cost to play there? The round, the caddy, rental clubs etc.

  5. Fantastic video Erik!
I can't recommend this to people enough, go to Asia. Play golf, have fun, and see a totally different world than what you're used to in the west. (Often times on a much cheaper budget too)

Sure it's a longer flight, but if every few years you go on a big 7-10 day golf trip you should consider going to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea, or the Philippines as your destination. That doesn't even begin to cover places in Western and Central Asian countries such as Turkey, UAE, and India which are also less visited golf destinations in Asia. There's a big golf world out there, go find it!

  6. currently a third of the way through and just realized it was uploaded an hour ago!!! was wondering why i havent seen this ep before. shit eating grin the whole time as always

  7. It would be nice to see him play the actual course instead of these boring useless conversations.

  8. Imagine looking for a golf ball and accidentally getting blown up by a mine

  9. This is such an outstanding production. I'm really so impressed and now absolutely must see and experience Vietnam. Bravo

  10. Got those shoes and played my first round after getting them. The shoes are magic as I got my first hole in 1. Whitney Oaks, par 3, 188 yards (was shot at with a range finder) and what a surreal moment/feeling.
Been a HUGE fan since being introduced to the community and love everything about it! @RGC & @Eric absolutely amazing!

  11. This is the best golf content on YouTube. The Adventures in Golf series is insanely underrated. I really don’t understand how this channel isn’t absolutely blowing up yet

  12. “I’ll see you back there for a chilli beer and some night golf”
Me thinking everyone knows EAL is sober: -_-

  13. Commenting from Singapore 🚩Golf in Asia is amazing and totally underrepresented in YouTube content creation. Come over, have a game, have a laugh and leave with a smile 😃

  14. Breaking News: John Wall has retired from the NBA and has become a golf course superintendent in Vietnam

  15. Great video as always Erik! We went to Vietnam from the UK in 2013…. Hired scooters and went from Saigon all the way to Hanoi. We played golf and were the only 2 people on the course! It was so expensive and so exclusive, hopefully that has changed. Vietnam however was the most amazing country I have ever been to. 🥰

  16. Thanks Erik for this episode. Next golfing holiday destination its vietnam. HAPPY GOLFING.

  17. golf cost is getting out of hand in VN. a sunday round at a mid level course is about 150USD caddie tip not included.
a laborer monthly salary is about 300.

  18. Similar to how caddies are in the Philippines! Thanks Erik hope you get to do more courses around Asia 🙂

  19. Very interesting content. I love watching golf in different settings and cultures. Faldo course looks amazing. So many different landscapes within the course.

  20. Just when I thought the Bulgaria vid was the best, you go around the world and make this. Another great story.
