  1. I sort by label first and by first name in every label….Atlantic is first and Andy Bey, Charles Mingus etc…etc 😎👍

  2. THAT'S A GOOD IDEA I KIND OF DIGG THAT T~SHIRT WITH THE 45 GREEN CENTER PIECE FOR THE TURNTABLE THAT'S A GREAT COLLECTION OF CD'S I KEEP MINE IN SOME CD SUIT CASE THAT HOLD UP TO 6O CD'S WITH THE WHOLE PLASTIC COVER BOOKLET ETC……. I REALY PERFER THOSE HAVE EACH BY GENRE & YEARS I HAVE SINGLE & DOUBLES AND A FEW TRIPLE DISC CD'S I HAVE 7 FULL CASES AND WORKING ON AN 8TH CASE RIGHT NOW AS WELL AS MY RECORDS TOO BUT I'M REALLY DIGGING THOSE SHELVES IT'S A MAYBE FOR ME EVEN THOUGH I CARRY A 1O CD DISC HARD CASE IN MY CAR ALL THE TIME AND SWITCH OUT THE MUSIC EVERY 2 WEEKS WE ALL APPRECIATE THE CONTENT THANKS FRANK ✌🏼OUT

  3. I dont know why society pays so much attention to Walmart… they have enough money.. shop elsewhere.

  4. 3:35 When sorting my CD's (much like my records), I sort by genre first, then by artist alphabetically, and then the album titles alphabetically per artist (versus sorting albums by release date).

However, since I collect a lot of soundtracks, the main composers I like are organized alphabetically, but in cases where I know the movie title, but not the composer as much, I organize those soundtracks purely alphabetically by movie title (although I'm still tempted to organize the entire soundtrack collection alphabetically by title just to make things easier).

Having said all of that though, I'm still way behind and have a lot more organizing to do, particularly when it comes to newer music (or movie) purchases over the past year or two. 🙂

  5. 4:05 Wow, that 'Back From The Dead' poster design would look awesome on a vinyl revival t-shirt, Frank. I'd scoop up that t-shirt for sure if it was part of your merch store. 🙂

  6. Alphabetically is the only way leave the style of music set aside as some artists cross the boundaries

  7. Hi Frank, just told you about returning KISS Creatures due to QC issues. Just received T.Rex Abbey Road Studios half speed master of Electectric Warrior. You guessed it, has glue on the edge where it was in the inner sleeve. I can't take it anymore..

  8. Myself, with around 3,000 CDs, the majority are 1n 2 -5 ft. wide shelving units, one stacked on top of the other, with the height about 8 feet tall. They are organized alphabetically by artist with the various artist compilations on the 2-3 bottom shelves arranged by the labels they are on. I do the same with my LPs and 7" 45s in their own shelves. As there isn't enough room for the Classical and Christmas CDs on the shelves, they are in the bottom drawer of my record supplies file cabinet with my VPI record cleaner on top of the cabinet.

With so many different genres of music, many being classified under several music styles, separating and filing them that way wouldn't work. Only Classical and Christmas CDs are separated by genre because that works. But then those are separated alphabetically by artist composer.

With an inventory of 11,000+ 7" 45s, Compact 33s and boxed sets, they are all in my computer room in 4 bookcase shelving units.

  9. My whole collection (Records, CD's, & Cassettes) There is no rhyme or reason to it. When I set out to listen to something. I just point to an area and dig through them until I hit something that clicks.

  10. Recently bought Over 300 CD's for $15 USD @ the library book sale . Average cost around 5¢ each

  11. A few channels like yours do peoples systems but how about people wearing channel 33 rpm t shirts. I have two shirts myself.

  12. Bro there is NO problem pushing your merch you spend alot of money doing your videos! I'll def be getting something your hoodie is great I wear it all the time

  13. great stuff frank….love all the 33 merch i have..(the toque is great)…..if i wore t-shirts, i'd probably buy one of everything…and you are so much better than walmart….just bring back the cups…be well my friend…best to the family…peace and music always…rocky

  14. Personally I sort just about nothing. If titles are worth keeping, they're in the "this is already in the jukebox" stack. The "not going into the jukebox" stack gets progressively smaller. The jukebox software now sorts over 8040 songs, so I don't have to. If I know part of the artist name or part of the title, the system finds it quickly.

  15. Great Atari shirt, Frank!!👍🕹🤓 I like the idea of a Black Friday March sale. It doesn’t feel like you’re “constantly hawking stuff” on your channel at all.

  16. My cd library is sorted by genre with the artist in alphabetical order. For example, abba comes before the artists with their surname beginning in b,c etc or group name in like manner.

  17. Thanks for the video, Frank! I sort my records & CDs alphabetically, but the stuff I listen to most are also sorted within genres (jazz, new wave and Christian). 🙏✌️

  18. Go for the sales! If you create a product that people want, sell it!
That’s the way it’s supposed to be

  19. I sort all of my music thusly: Artist/Year of Release/Title. Also, We need some posters man… My music room is in serious need of some art on the walls! 🙂

  20. Hey frank. I have a cheat sheet that tells me what records I have, and in which colored milk crate they're in.. it took me a week to catalogue my records, and so far it's working great!
    By the way, I'm dsylexic.🤪
