What Supply Can Make a Kunai?

There is no doubt many ways you can build things. But what about the materials you can make them with? In this video I try to make kunai using 4 different base materials and finish them with 4 different techniques. For this build I used: 1 inc scrap wood, 1 wood ring, EVA foam (24 mm and 2 mm), 24 mm eva dowel, cardboard, 3/4 inch and 1 1/2 inch PVC pipes, pvc faux wood window blinds, metal duct tape, Gorilla tape, cork fabric, faux leather, red fabric, gold leaf, gilding adhesive, gilding varnish, super glue, mod podge, Blue Angelus Leather Dye, Aerosol laquer, spray paint, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: laser cutter, a Dremel with various bits, clay sculpting tools, and Exacto knife or box cutter. 1. You should make more mythology inspired builds like the Thor hammer you did that was really coo

  2. Answering the question "Kunai I build that from…?" Huh? Lol
I love your commitment to the material for the whole build
Some places are happy if SOME of the build is from a material and then they revert back. A bit like scratch builders where the "scratch build" is 90% 3d printed. I like you dont do that shenanigans and just say what you are doing

  3. Awesome builds, thank you for sharing the skills that you use on a variety of materials. The look amazing!

  4. 👍Another fantastic 4 in 1 tutorial from you, a great idea to do them all using different materials! love your little facts that pop up as you work! Much love from across the pond!

  5. Modpodge can be wet sanded aswel. Leaves a gorgeous finished if you put a good few thick coats on then lightly wet sand. You should definitely try it bro

  6. One of my first builds used your mempo mask template and I used card board. It turned out pretty cool. Always fun to watch I'll see you Friday.

  7. Noice! I love that you showed many different methods. I will probably always go the direction of EVA Foam just to be Con-Safe, but this opens the door for me to try a few new methods.

  8. Very nice, Thomas! Love the creativity of using so many different materials. Do you display all of your builds in your house? Or do you take them… Hmmm… Would they even allow fake weapons in the school? Probably not, these days.

  9. I started making stuff with cardboard but I didn't like that the telltale ridges of the corrugations would always show through no matter what type of paint I would use on top of it. I sometimes use cardboard to make mockups of my builds before making it with EVA foam. Fantastic video as always! 👊

  10. 2 things about the PVC. Paint will stick better if you run a piece of sandpaper over it first to give it some tooth for the paint to grip. Also, the pipe can be heated and pressed flat against the blade for better gluing. This must be done in a well-ventilated area or outdoors, as the heating can give off chlorine gas, which is caustic to lungs.
