  1. I buy a lot of used Japanese pressings both CD and LP (from Jap sellers) and all of them are in pristine condition. Even lower graded VG+ items are usually in top shape. Bottom line is the Japanese really look after their stuff.

  2. Have to hand it to Big Green Cherry, that's a very interesting idea they've come up with . Hope that they have success with it. Another great video Frank. Have a fantastic weekend everyone.

  3. Hello My Dear Great Friend Frank Landry I Hope You Have A Great Wonderful Weekend Ahead Blessed With Beautiful Accomplishments And Achievements Great Success Total Happiness Sunshine And Smiles That Will Allow To Enjoy Your Life As A Happy And Successful Person In The World.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  4. Hi Frank, glad to see Covid left you. great video. There used to be a record shop (True Sound Records) here in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia who rented records out to regular customers. It gave you an opportunity to listen to a record on your own system, in comfort at home Very few records came back damaged because if you damaged it you bought it.

  5. Big Trouble is such a great song. I wonder if its any uglier at 33ish. The single that has Shyboy as the b side is awesome when played much slower.

  6. Cool video Frank!
You just never know what you'll come across eh? I love your videos. They keep an old guy like me in the loop.
    Keep on spinning Frank!! 👍👍

  7. FYI: BGC has been making the rounds with sending their album to reviewers, like Recordology for one. So it’s not surprising that they sent one to you.

  8. PS—I’m not knocking them for doing this. Just a statement of fact and a FYI.

  9. Sorry to hear you had a bout with Covid…. First watch of the show in awhile…. Busy with work but squeezing in some time to spin some records. Great content as always. Keep on Spinnin’

  10. Hey, draw MY name and I'LL jump up and down and wave and yell and claim that prize! It's always us never-winners that NEVER win and have to watch winners snoozing and losing these prizes we'd have NO problem responding to………

  11. In 1988 the house we were housesitting got burgled and they took the stereo so I took the opportunity to get my first cd player. At the shops at the top of the street there was a shop that rented out CDs. So of course I would rent what I wanted and if I like it I would copy to cassette. I still have the cassettes. They also sold cds new and used I bought my very first pre order there it was Midnight Oil "Blue Sky Mining". They folded after losing a court case to the music industry. A long time ago now.

  12. The Japanese are very respectful and would never treat anyone's property the way we in North America do… That's why that 7" vinyl of DLR you have is in amazing condition! 🙂

  13. Omg $1,100 for a record? I know vinyl is rocketing in price but………lol. And I worry over paying £25 for an album! Like the sound of Lili Anel and will definitely be checking her out Cheers Frank !

  14. I think that rental vinyl was pretty common in Japan, I have several rental copies of japanese records, most of them are VG+, so pretty decent,. Here in Brazil we didnt have vinyl rental, but lots of CD rental shops in the 90s. We rented the CDs to make cassette copies

  15. Rental is actually another word for Promo. That and the Japanese take exceptional good care of their records.

  16. Hi! Eddie from Big Green Cherry here…we just added FIVE new albums to the store an hour ago. We are also offering a special Black Friday promotion. A Big Green Cherry T-shirt (this is an amazing T-shirt BTW) for only $1 with every album purchase!

  17. $1100 pah. You need to start collecting soul 45s. The price of some now here in the UK run way beyond that figure with quite a few fetching 5 figures. Madness.
