  1. I remember your other homes before this one. The transition was a rocky one but wow!!!! It looks soooo good. A great reminder that it takes time to let the plants flush out and acclimate to the changes. …I have always been a big fan of how you mix "regular" plants with your tropical plants. The hostas & alocasia are so iconic to you! And they're looks amazing. Next your front garden tour…lol. Thanks for sharing!!!

    [Note to self: winter inspiration]

  2. Hi Bill, wow, your back yard is so interesting, great job remembering all of those names and varieties! That variegated whale fin, OH MY GOODNESS! This is the first year I put my senseverias outside, they are really loving our 6A zone! Thank you for the lively tour, almost like being there!

  3. Beautiful! 🌼💜

I'm wondering what kind of zinnias those are if you have any idea. I planted some zinnia seeds that were supposed to be dwarfs and they're still 2 ft tall.

P.s. some things look like maybe iron deficiency chlorosis?

  4. Amazing! Did you know their is white lavender…..I just saw some this year……omg bee balm is my favorite in the garden!

  5. Lovely garden Bill!
Maybe your hostas are getting a bit too much sun so they don't get as big as they could?
I saw you have lights peppered throughout, I'd love to see a "garden at night" tour!

  6. Stunning garden! I'm hoping to get hold of an ice cream banana plant soon. Would be great to see how you go about over wintering these.. is it similar to dry storing ensete?

  7. If you can find the space you should get a paulownia. If you cut it back to the ground every year you'll get massive leaves

  8. That looks amazing. Your grass looks like a putting green. And your garden is quite lovely. I am in hot hot Texas and some things just can't take this heat. Congratulations on your masterpiece.

  9. Everything is looking amazing!! I love ur fence & shape of garden beds btw! 💚 I'm curious to know how u edge ur beds & keep grass clippings out when mowing?🤔 I have the hardest time with edging! Also try some Irontone for ur Alocasia yellow leaves with green veins usually means iron deficiency.😉 Loved this tour!💚💚💚💚

  10. The cinnamon 'tree' looks like invasive buckthorn! lol. You inspired me to try some colocasias – I bought one three years ago and now I have four! And a dark leafed variety that has multiplied, too. Tthanks for the inspiration. gardening in Barrie.ON

  11. Speechless!! What an amazing job. Happy I found you. I'm a newbie and late 40s so have a ton of catching up to do. I hope to be able to have a yard as beautiful as yours one day.
