Hi Aquamigos! My DIY backyard koi pond is finally ready for the plumbing. I was able to get the 4″ PVC pipe for my bottom drain as well as the other materials I need to plumb the bottom drain. Let me know what you think!

    Hey the pond is looking great Tobias!
    My son and I are on our 2nd year of completing our koi pond build. It’s a 7,200 gallon pond. We dug it all by hand because we couldn’t get a digger in that space because of trees. Pond liner ,water, stones are in but I left the bottom bare for easy cleaning. It has an intake bay and a waterfall. The water already cycled with goldfish in it. I just need to do the edging and add plants and koi next Spring and it will finally be finished.
    I’m really enjoying watching your progress! ❤

    Hey Aquamigo, looking good so far. Looks like you're getting close to connecting the holes. Digging that tunnel is harder especially when factor the weight of the dirt and wall above it plus the side angle… Anyway looking forward to seeing it come together. See you on the next one.

    Tobias my American aquamego bruva once you've glued the pipe and bottom drain together I recommend filing it with water before you concrete around it this will stop the pipe from rising up as the concrete goes around and under the pipe 🧁👍👍👍
