  1. This time of year is "peak season" for holiday shipping. After Christmas shipping falls off drastically and railroads furlough workers. I voted no on the tentative agreement. Congress will force the PEB recommendations and when back pay is finally paid after nearly 3 years of no raises, my guess is that 10% or more of the workers with less than 15 years senority will quit and disgruntled eligible retirees will retire. They are bribing retirees to stay with promises of $10k to stay 6 months and sign on bonuses (the devils money because they will just get furloughed and if they dont cone back when called they have to pay the money back) to new hires of sometimes 15k. And still can hardly get people to stay or hire on.

  2. Interesting, I was just thinking I hadn't noticed any of your videos coming across in quite a while so I looked up you channel and was shocked at all the videos I've missed. I'm almost 100% certain I had subscribed but saw I was not subscribed. Odd.

  3. Yup , all our cheap Chinese goods would cost double. Just pay all railroad workers $200.00 per hour with only a 4 day work week and 10 weeks vacation every year.

  4. As a Railroader it's not the schedule and all of that , I can not use a day off to pay for my groceries..The companies aren't even giving us the equivalent of the C.O.L.A increase. So I will never be able to keep up with inflation

  5. I work for a major railroad. Things have gotten horrible. I requested Thanksgiving off as a leave day and it was denied. They claim they approve the earliest requests first, but I put in for it on JANUARY 3rd! If we strike, we strike. Screw the excessive corporate greed. It shouldn't be surprising as the railroad top brass stated during the hearings earlier this year that "Labor doesn't contribute to profits".

  6. In the UK there are constant ongoing postal and rail strikes. Also nurses and civil servants are threatening to strike.

  7. ELBERTOLOGY ———– ARE YOU PREPARED FOR A RAILROAD STRIKE ? ———— ELBERTOLOGY ————– PREPARE FOR THE WORST — 6 Months of FOOD STORAGE ?

  8. FINALLY someone is giving reasons for why this may happen. The timing is lousy, but at least there are genuine reasons.

  9. I am not singling you out per say… but I do get frustrated when all these prepping channels say if you need this or that, or will need this or that in the future…stock up now!
That's great! I can project my needs for the future and create a list of everything I will need. But, who's going to loan me the money that I need to be able to stock up on all these things right now?
I have been watching this "train wreck" (pun intended) of a looming rail strike since September. I have been aware since Sept. of what the dire consequences would be. And, I would love to prep everything I need (just as you also encouraged)…But, where am I to get all the money to do so???
I do prep what I can afford to get, but, it just gets a little discouraging to keep hearing "stock up on this, stock up on that." I am trying to put food on the table now AND stock away pantry items for the future. That takes most of my monthly budget! I just get frustrated sometimes when I hear "get this, get that."
I DO see the wisdom in that advise. I just can't afford it!!! It's not you or your channel…I am just venting in general at all prepping channels that advise to "get this and get that" if your smart, and want to prepare for the future. They say stock up now while you have the time to do it. Oh, I've got the time!…I just dont have the money!!!
I may need car parts next year. I may need repair materials for my home next year or lumber…But, not many of us can afford to get all these things right now!
It's just a little frustrating to keep hearing "get this and get that." Thanks for letting me use your platform to vent.
I just see alot of YouTube peppers with alot of special equipment or specialty survival items (alot of which is given to them if they promise to review it), or they show off their fully stocked 5 year pantries!!! And they say "you need to get this, you need to get that. Stock up, stock up, stock up"…I'M TRYING!!! But, my funds are more limited than what alot of these peppers can afford…and it's just a little frustrating to keep hearing this, when I am already doing the best I can to prep with my more limited budget.
Okay, I'm finished with my tirade…😡
Thank you for letting me vent!!! 😁

  10. This video to me puts a spotlight on conspiratorial nutjobs. Those who think the elite are trying to kill off the population. They can't make it without us. Who's going to plow the fields, build homes and their yachts. Who's going to drive the trains? Their whole rhetoric is ridiculous!!

  11. None of the working conditions you mentioned aren't ALREADY KNOWN by rail workers BEFORE they take the job. They have no reason to complain. None. It's a great job.

  12. Good thing I’ve been awake this whole time and have been stocking up since 2020

  13. It always pays to Prep, Whether its a RR Strike or a bad storm or becoming unemployed, Having a extra supply of food on hand has never hurt anyone

  14. A buddy of mine worked for the RR. He dared not miss a day, went to work when he was so sick, could barely stand. That's what he always wanted. He got it. Now he's retired at 60 because of a work related accident. WTF's (water treatment facilities) need chemicals. In our basic well/RO plant, that is 4 chemicals to treat and disinfect. Surface water requires even more. (judging from my test and license requirements)
Follow a basic hurricane preparation plan, and most preppers will be fine. I don't buy small bags of rice, but get the 20# bags. We're at a year supply, of food for the family. Lots less water, but have a collection system. Lack of gasoline would become the problem around here.

  15. "He comes to kill steal and destroy." The PURE GREED and "love of money" is also playing it's part. These most vital of infrastructures should be working together, the solution is out there, it's just being hindered… well, because the devil is in the details, likely pulling all the strings. We're better than this. Want to disgusting situation. There's so much at risk, and clearer heads are not allowed to prevail. I don't understand when keeping this country afloat and thriving became an option. For the love of humanity!!! Get it together. Let love of country and for the sake of self and fellow, let harmony and a cooperative spirit prevail. If only we had a President that was excellent at fixing a broken systems simultaneously. There's plenty to be fixed here. But it can be done, and only the devil wants you to think it can't be, or compromise makes anyone a lesser person. This country was built on compromise for the greater good… If you're not thinking about the children caught up in these multiple boondoggles and (curated) snafus, then, you're either blind or not on the side of what is good and right. Geez, remember what built this country. Pay now or pay later… And don't forget there will be a reckoning, and we will all answer for our part in hurting each other, and failing to protect those who have no voice.

  16. 6:55 "99 million additional trucks"? I'm not buying that. That would be about one truck for every household.
Assuming one truck can deliver 20'000 pounds of goods once a week, that would be ~3'000 pounds of goods per household per day.
That seems off by a factor of 10 at least.

  17. It’s simple unions are democratic lib tards. For instance teacher unions. Total garbage on many levels.
This is designed to throw hate and destruction of our country. A joe Biden universe.

  18. Having a strike when essential life supplies are held ransom should be resolved with a terrorist charge against the railway workers. They knew what kind of job they were accepting. Easy way to fix this is giving employees a 30 day buffer they must submit before they're allowed to quit without penalty. They don't have to stay at the railroad, but they're not allowed to strike either. They either work or leave. But this is terrorism on behalf of the railroad workers

  19. NOTHING is coming on this BS- just projection and YOU PPL believe the propaganda form the media LEGALLY can tell you anything they want now regardless if its fake or real

  20. Listening to you is like watching the flight attendant. When THEY indicate something is imminent, that's when you truly worry 🙂

  21. I work in the shipping department for a manufacturing company. Ironically enough our plant produces train parts. We’re already having trouble scheduling extra or additional trucks. We ship 2-4 truckloads every day and send dedicated loads all around the world. If there’s a real strike in either industry, rail or trucking, we’ll grind to a stop in just a few days. There won’t be parts to build our product nor room to store what we do make.
