  1. Since you could certainly simmer those canning jars in water, why not fill them up with the wax beads and use them in the double boiler directly, rather than waiting for the little wax jug over and over again? Then you can just keep topping them off with wax beads as they melt down, drop in the oil when it's full, and stir it around. Normally, when it comes to the wick, you'd dab a little bit of melted wax on the bottom of the metal stand, stick it to the spot in the jar you want, and let it dry before pouring in the melted wax. BUT, if you're doing the simmer-the-jars-directly method that I've theorized about in this comment, you could sink the wicks in after the wax is melted, and then secure it in place while cooling with a sheet tray on top of all the jars to weigh them down, or with rubber bands for each individual jar. Efficiency!

  2. I have a tendency to drop a lot of stuff myself. I always say the faster I go the slower I get! LOL so glad I’m not the only one! Those enchiladas look delicious

  3. I had to laugh out loud when you pushed those kids off onto the floor! I held my laughter with the first two spills, because I felt bad for you, but the lids and your expression, I couldn’t hold it back! So glad you don’t cut the mishaps because that makes it real!

  4. I had no idea how expensive essential oils are until I went to a party of one of the two big brands—-I was SHOCKED!

  5. You had a case of the “dropsies” today! 😂. I made enchiladas for dinner tonight and yours were definitely burritos 🌯. I’m sure they were tasty. The candles 🕯 turned out great.

  6. I've never made candles before. It seems easy enough to do. I have made soap before and used them and given it as gifts. Soap is easy as you can microwave it into a liquid. Just add scent and freeze the soap to finish the hardening process. So darn easy. Happy cooking and baking, Debbie Lavigne

  7. Could you just fill the glass jars with wax and sit in hot water and add more wax as it melts, then add the oils at the end.

  8. Hi Becky – all's well that ends well! Smart to use your dough scraper to scoop the wax! Not wasted any. Where can you buy the wicks? I need just 2 to reuse a candle.
Your enchiladas look yummy!😋 I've never made them like that, but I will be trying your recipe for sure! 😊

  9. Instead of using the lids for the candles a pretty square of fabric tied with a pretty ribbon would give it more of a personal touch!

  10. I love how you dealt with " all your mishaps" you definitely roll with the punches, and that you shop at your own personal grocery store. Great savings having a stock pile of goods.

  11. You have previously mentioned Josh enjoys woodworking. He may have a hand tool, like some sort of knippers, that can cut those wicks evenly for you.

  12. You are so cute. I love how you show the mishaps you have in your kitchen. You are so easy going. Love you videos! Keep it up.

  13. Aww no! What a day haha for the wax that fell on the floor, you could have put it in a bag and used it for the fire starters you and you mom make. Something to think of for next time. Love the enchiladas/wet burritos and how you just went with it today 🙂

  14. One type of container we used years ago was a metal coffee can. Pinched the top of it to make the pour the only thing is you have to grab it with a pot holder or something to pour it but you don't need to fill it all the way up and it gives you a lot of space to melt because of coffee can is usually pretty big. Another thing people look at thrift stores for double boilers or small pots and even I wonder if an old kettle would work.

  15. You got through the evening with everything completed! I would have just walked away once I dropped stuff and gone to bed. Great job!

  16. Hi Becky, thank you for leaving in the bloopers. It gives me hope for myself in my own kitchen. 🤗 The video is fantastic. Take care ♥️

  17. Becky… My boyfriend gave me the biggest freeze dryer for early Christmas (he had to take advantage of the sale)😄

  18. Becky girl you need to slow down girl your doing to much at one time i,m worrying about you your winded and dropping things please honey slow down just a bit your very pregnant and need to reserve some energy I love your show but I love you and the baby more.

  19. when I started doing candles I got a used pot from goodwill for the wax. cheaper and bigger. love your content!

  20. When you make candles it’s normal for the wax to shrink as it cools creating the little divots. So it’s necessary to “top off” the candles as they cool. I’m sure they smell lovely!

  21. Great fun to watch, and the cooking and other tips are educational/entertaining as a bonus ❤

  22. I had 5 children and I rolled enchiladas for a long time. But the older they got the less time I had to spend rolling them. I home schooled all 5 so I spent hours doing schoolwork, gardening, taking care of livestock, and housework so I got lazy and started layering the tortillas and filling, cheese, and sauce like lasagna. Do became more of a enchilada casserole over the years. The kids still loved it so that was all that mattered. But saved me a lot of time on meal preparation on those nights. Casseroles became a big part of our meals because it was easy to make freeze and they could help assemble them, pull them and toss in the oven during the week.
