  1. Beautiful selection! Cant wait to see them all growing. It's all getting exciting, even moreso once the new year starts!

  2. congratulations. plenty of carnations, gypsophila and maidenhair fern required. lol. dahlias are very easy to grow from seed, but my favourites are pompons…………….brian

  3. Looking forward to the wedding video ! Love from Scotland – since your wee fish have Scottish names I think your fiance should be wearing a kilt on the big day..

  4. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I have also been with my husband for 12 years, married him on our 10 year anniversary. I tried to grow some Italian anemones for my bouquet, but just to spite me they flowered the day after my late February wedding. It's hard to plan for flowers that bloom in late winter, but I'm sure you'll have better luck in the autumn! I can't wait to see how your wedding flowers come together, your selections sound lovely!

Regarding amaranth, if you grow them to a size that requires staking, the stalks and flowers may be too massive for use in bouquets, though they may be be usable for table arrangements like you mentioned. If you also want some in a more useful size for bouquets try sprinkling about a dozen seeds in one spot, and that should give you smaller tassels and stems. I can attest that this has worked for me in my garden. You Can't Eat The Grass's channel has a video titled The BEST Fall Cut Flowers where she talks about how she grows amaranth (around 10 minutes in), and it may be helpful to you. They have a hotter summer generally than the UK, but I think it's probably still applicable info.

  5. Hi Katrina! Congratulations, what a surprise! Hopely a good wedding coming year! Fantastic! Do you have plans to be continue with this flog after your wedding?? 7. There’s always a flower shop somewhere. You’ll be lovely even if you carried dandelions. Don’t worry.🇨🇦🇨🇦👍❤️👩‍🌾

  8. Congratulations to you both,we were together 10 years before we were married,we knew we would do it we were just having a good time,we too have been cycling the Tissington trail & we also were married in early autumn (7th October) the colours we had were all autumnal colours amber, red etc, that was 17 years ago how time flies, good luck growing your flowers for your wedding we are sure you will be successful what a brilliant idea,xx

  9. I have planted Aster's and Zinnia's every year. But Aster's win in abundance every year. I'm in a cooler climate though.

  10. Sounds perfect! You already grow such beautiful flowers every year, so don't worry…you got this! I just started growing more flowers this year and managed to grow lisianthus from seed. Relatively easy, but they take 5mths to grow before they bloom…they would be gorgeous in a wedding too😊

  11. Congratulations on your impending wedding. I would also add shrubs of hawthorn and spindleberry for foliage plants. I'm not sure what your overall colour scheme is but dahlia Labyrinth, Penhill Dark Monarch, Molly Raven, Perch Hill, Cafe at Lait Royal and Preference would compliment Bishops Children. Nerine bulbs planted in the spring should bloom by autumn. Perennial plants wise Salvia Armistad, Love and Wishes, Embers's Wish, Phyllis Fancy, Salmia Dark Purple, Salmia Pink, Stormy Pink, Hadspen, Certified Potosi and Jezebel. Plug plants of Chrysanthemum and Pelargoniums bought in spring and potted on. Would provide filler and scented foliage. Good luck it's fun to grow all the things. I only got my allotment in March and it was a 50/50 mix of flowers and vegetables.

  12. So excited to 'virtually' follow along with your flower project.
Congrats again, to you and your partner, beautiful girl.

  13. Tip for growing zinnias. They often are attacked by aphids. Since you want your. Blooms for your wedding, plant something around them that detract aphids or plant something that will draw aphids somewhere else like milk weed . Enjoying your show for several years now! Thank you!

  14. Beautiful selection for your upcoming wedding. Would love to be a part of your wedding global plans
