Frost sensitive crop survival through a freeze | Microclimate protection in my permaculture garden

In this video I document how my freeze sensitive crops survive through a freeze event in my #garden . The main crops affected are tomatoes, red malbar spinach, chili de arbol, and jalepeno. These crops typically cannot survive a freeze. I show you both the before, and after, the freeze.

I try my best not to buy plastic, but I have a limited supply of “hand-me-down” plastic. So, I am cautious with using it due to the limited supply. As a result, I rely more on microclimates, both natural, and constructed.

This is in my relatively new #permaculture nursery/ #farm in the Cross Timbers ecoregion of #Texas created by converting my grass #lawn into a productive native garden.
