Plant Delights Nursery is an award-winning nursery in Raleigh, NC near Garner. We specialize in rare, and unusual perennials and we strive to carry a wide selection of exotic plants, cold hardy tropical plants, and native plants. Many of our best perennials are available nowhere else in the US as they represent rare plants collected by Plant Delights founder Tony Avent during his more than 60 plant hunting expeditions to places like China, Crete, Taiwan, South Africa and Argentina or distributed by some of the many specialty plant organizations of which Plant Delights is a member.

  1. I’m so glad you said that about Miscanthus, because what the New York DEC says, is that it’s invasive because “its center dies out & forms a donut… Yeah you read that right… They’re also trying to say that water hyacinth and water lettuce are going to be an invasive species in zone 6a… can’t make this shit up…
I made a video about controlling running Bamboo, and I agree that south zone 7, there is little reason to grow running Bamboo. However for me in zone 6a, I can’t get the look of thick bamboo stems unless I use a runner. Therefore I need to rhizome prune 2x/ year.

  2. Super interesting. Is that stacked urbanite on the steep slope at the beginning of the video?
