OSAKI SHIMOJIMA ISLAND in the Seto Inland Sea has a historical, well-preserved port town called Mitarai 御手洗 which was famous during the Edo period. I have always dreamed of going to this little island because of the movie: A letter To Momo. The townscape and scenery from the movie were breathtaking! I was shocked to find out the movie was based on a real island town in Japan! Sadly, year after year it seemed impossible to visit this place. Not only was it super far and difficult to get to, but I also I couldn’t find anywhere to stay! However, this year that finally changed. I not only found a place to stay but it was at an amazing 150-year-old traditional house IN the historic district of Mitarai. So many things happened on this trip. This was definitely the most beautiful Seaside town and everything looked exactly like the movie. Dreams do come true.

the house looked really small, like shaq would get stuck if he would try to go in. but i still liked it. and props on catching the bee. all those years of playing pokemon games must have paid off. lol
