I have 2 Meyer Lemon trees that we planted in big pots last spring. One is flowering right now and the other is not. Is now a good time to fertilize them?
Dear Danny and Wanda, could you please comment on how you fertilize your lemons, limes, and oranges. Mine in the greenhouse have leaves that are turning yellow already, and they don’t look vibrant.
I welcome input from other successful citrus growers as well. Thank you. I learned so much.

OK this is my question that Louisiana orange is loaded down and you’re waiting for to turn really orange why is it not in the third hard tunnel so it will not catch the freeze just asking

I have never known a Key Lime that was green when it was ripe. My grandfather always had a few trees. We have one that we are harvesting now.

Yes I had a Key lime tree in my home Miami (Hialeah). They are yellow, the ones you see in the store are green. Absolutely the best lime.
I can almost smell those oranges from here!

I got about 500 lemons off of one tree. Italian lemon tree, Tucson, az
I slice and dehydrate the lemons and than blend into powder. Including the peel great to put on chicken on the grill!

Thornless Key Limes are my favorite! Hurricane Irma destroyed my prolific ever bearing 13 year old Thornless Key Lime Tree. We planted 2 new ones and Hurricane Ian knocked all of the leaves off of the trees. We just planted a new one and hope that Hurricane Nicole spares it tonight.

Danny and Wanda, let me tell you one of the best uses of a Key Lime that we've found… if you can take the sugars, get a can of Squirt from the store, and pour it over ice and squeeze a couple of those key limes into it… like liquid candy!

Everything pretty. I am envious of fruit. We do have quite a bit here but no citrus. I planted a Celeste fig and got about 100 figs. I am going to make Wanda's fig newtons soon. I put in freezer. Thank you all for all you have done in the last years. It helps so much. Your homestead or farm I call is beautiful

Thank you for this! I got my Owari 1 year ago and am watching the first fruits (4 total) turn orange. I have a heated greenhouse i'm trying to keep to a low of 48+ degrees. Q- can I dehydrate the peel enough to make a powder from? looking to buy a dehydrator now. TY

Those are beautiful! A lot of work!! We have just purchased a sansuma which is about 6' tall. Then can we expect fruit? We also bought a Meyer lemon in May and it just bloomed. So what do I need to do? Do I need to pluck the small like fruit that is on it. No bigger than an pencil eraser tip.
What fertilizer and when do you do it on your citrus?
I work at a landscaping place and they are bringing in customer's trees to the greenhouse. There were two huge (3-4 trunks per planter) citrus-looking trees that came in and I could not identify them – that is, until I saw your video of the key lime! BINGO! That's what these are! Wish that I could get some cuttings, some times branches get broken off during transport. While I was looking, I found a whole lime fruit that had fallen off the tree! Sooooo . . . I got the seeds! 🙂
