That’s a great idea
So true, take the extra time to get it done right. We are getting two new metal gates 4 ft. wide and they are $169 each. Prices keep going up. Hope your thumb is getting better. God bless you two.

We just painted a cattle trailer for a customer with the bed liner.. It was in such bad shape so we got all the rust off and suggested he try the paint liner. Well hears to say he loved it and has a couple more he wants us to do.
You can just end every video with footage of your citrus trees. They are beautiful.
I would bet they used galvanized tubing to make the gate. But when they cut it to length did they re-coat the cut ends? Probably not. That may explain the rusted end of that tubing you showed. Unless the panels were galvanized after assembly, I would be the welds are just sprayed with "cold galvanize" type paint to spot repair the coating. Fixing that exposure before installing the panels is a great idea and example of how to think about making what you have last longer. I never thought about using spray bedliner, but that is a great idea and it should be more durable than regular paint and primer.
Drill hole in bottom and fill with ATF let sit over night then drain. (AUTOMATIC TRANS FLUID). old trick to keep car/truck doors from rusting out around the bottom.

This is the craziest thing I have seen that a , crazy dont know,what a Homesteader is do . For one your not a Homesteader the homestead act ended in the 1930s and you missed out your paying for your property just like everyone else . The worst is who the hell has time to wash the Cattle panels I dont have time to wash my 40,000 dollar truck so I know I'm not washing gates ever .
