Planting Fruits and Vegetables in a Succulent Garden

November is the end of Spring in Canberra, Australia. This is the best time to plant tomatoes when the threat of frost is gone. I also decided to go back to my old ways of gardening. Having a steady supply of fruits and vegetables. I also managed to find a fruit bearing plant that I’ve been after for a while. FEATURED PLANTS: Senecio candican Angel Wings, Tomato, Chilean Guava, Lettuce, Gooseberry, Cucumber, Spinach, Parsley and 6 different varieties of strawberry. Strawberry Bravo, Strawberry Toscana, Strawberry Ruby Ann, Calibrachoa, Strawberry Sweetest, Strawberry Sweetie and Strawberry Gauntlet. There’s also lots of succulents to enjoy.

  1. Hi Liz.. I planted seeds this year.. so far so good, we have eaten lettuce and radishes.. Your taller tomato can be planted lower in the soil.. I learnt this year that they will grow roots all the way up the stem and make the plant stronger. <3

  2. Beautiful flowers, vegetables & berries Liz & adding succulents with them makes the arrangements very pretty. Blessings to you & Pedro from Mexico.

  3. Your garden is looking amazing!😍 so much colour and variety.🤗 I always look forward to your videos, thanks for sharing.

  4. Hey Liz, love and plant power from the USA. I was thinking the senecio angel wings would do great just planted with the calibrachoa since they’ll wick away the water as they’re so thirsty. ❤

  5. What a good idea, Liz! You are so smart. I love the idea of mixing succulents with other loving water plants in the same pot, but keeping the succulents in their own. I’m going to try it, thank you!

  6. Liz you have a wide space around your house. Why don’t you build a greenhouse where you can place all your sensitive plants? Just a suggestion. 😍😍😍

  7. I love this style of gardening this garden is so you!💓,definatley going to give the Chilean guava a go too!,was great seeing you at the Expo😊
