Why not be prepared get the low tunnel ready

The weather is getting crazy with droughts, November hurricanes, and then a possible frost. It is yo-yo season, to say the least. We are getting the low tunnel ready and thinking about building more low tunnels.
Sandy Bottom Homestead was started to supplement our food supply. By Gardening and raising chickens we have been able to meet that goal and start to surpass it. Follow us as we continue to build out our homestead and become better gardeners.

  1. It's always interesting to me to see how you guys grow in the south or in dessert climates in the US. Our lowest temp will only drop to low 70s in Feb and only for a few days at that. We're sitting at 90s now in November and will drop to 80s.over the next few months before it creeps back to 120 with 80% humidity from end of June to September. Plus we get almost no rain so that's a pain in the ass. I will attempt to grow throughout the summer for the first time this year with shade cloth and a death wish.
