How To Make A Fresh Floral Christmas Advent Wreath

How to make a fresh floral Christmas advent wreath

Ingredients – ring base, 4 candles of your choice, decor items – wooden stars, cones, etc
White roses, spray roses, eucalyptus, asparagus, pine, cypress, gypsophila, ivy.

An advent wreath – it’s traditional and beautiful and makes a great centrepiece for any Christmas party or event, or just to have in the home over December.
In this video we used fresh flowers, but you can substitute faux if you prefer and this would be better lasting, without the need to replace the fresh elements.

Watch as we show you how to create this advent design – but please, just be inspired – you can chop and change, use a different colour or candle placement – the choice is yours. It all about being creative and making something personal for yourself or for a gift. Enjoy!

  1. Fantastic – l like the way you mixed the greenery – all the textures and shades of green – thanks

  2. Do I get a prize if I spotted the spider coming out of the ivy first? Lol!! Beautiful arrangement as always!

  3. So beautiful John. I love the silver pine and the white roses. The white candles are very effective too. I like the idea of lighting one a week before Xmas. We are going up to Scotland this weekend, the House of Bruar in the Highlands are having a sale so we are doing a bit of Xmas shopping😁. I know they sell some lovely foliage so I will try to get some to make a wreath! Thank you for the inspiration! Xx

  4. So pretty, John. Head and shoulders above all the wreaths and particularly Advent wreaths, (and I’ve watched a bunch of them this year)! The combination of greenery is the key to it, I believe. Greetings from Texas!

  5. So beautiful! I especially love the way you grouped similar types and colors of greenery! I will have to give it a try this advent season–you've inspired me!💜

  6. So pretty John. I love the silveryness. I loved the gyp and the pinecones for the wintery feel. I think you could use blue candles (or maybe silver) as well. Christmas is coming already!

  7. See, I knew I'd get an important note when I clicked on your lesson.
📝 Wire legs onto the candle! 💡 And I love the grouping of foliage. I will do that. Thank you!

  8. Thankyou John, lovely to watch you make your Christmas wreath, beautifully done and so generous of you to give so much help.
I’ve made these before, they’re my favourites but I’m learning more from you and this one will be my guide this year! Cheers! 🎉
