  1. I have learned a lot about organic gardening on this video particularly on growing tomatoes on smallest sized container. This is really more fun and interesting! I will recommend this post to all my buddies.

  2. Thank you so much for putting time markers for each question! I wish more people would do this with their Q&A videos..

  3. For the organic fertilizers, soil, other organic nutrients and other organic needs don't leave out your local hydroponic stores. Believe it or not they sell more then your hydrophobic needs. There's lots of great stuff I get from a few hydroponic stores around my house that I use in my garden. I don't even have a hydroponic set up. Would love a aquaphonic set up just because I love gardening and keeping fish.

  4. Oh hey! Have you thought about – Opalar Incredible Garden Growth (do a google search)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work buddy got cool results with it.

  5. john why are you wearing glasses? you claim on your other channel OKRAW that once you did your juice fast and started eating plants your skinned cleared up and you dont have problems, not even eye problems

  6. Oh no, I loved to watch all videos how John makes super quality compost but I would never put any sewer sludge or any poop in my garden besides worm castings

  7. Have you ever been in Moscow? I spent my best years there and assure you there are far more things than just pretty girls, I remember intellectual level was so high there that anyone who grew up in Moscow elite, would have very hard time to adjust USA level and its scary health system, I lived in both places and can compare, I prefer Moscow over usa with 100% and that's why I left states

  8. minimum 1 gallon pot imo for tomatoes 🙂 I say this because i've successfully grown over dozen tomatoes in 1 gallon, of course this is not optimal… but if you are tight on space, money or would just like more plants or varieties 1 gallon will work fine for growing tomatoes.

  9. My family has been growing Florida citrus for over 134 years. Milorganite is not tested for many of the food by-products, preservatives, heavy metals and chemical ingredients consumed by humans. Animals do not consume many of the by-products, preservatives, heavy metals and chemical ingredients that we consume or put on our skin (which ends up in our urine and poop). For that reason, we do not use milorganite in our orange groves, and do not recommend using on food crops. Also, animal waste should be composted with other raw materials (leaves, wood chips, bones, etc) before adding to the garden. Composting will destroy any possibility of pathogens being passed on to the plant. Keep up the good work, love your videos!

  10. Thank you. This is an awesome channel. I grew potatoes on huge bags last year. Completely organic. Because I have been watching your videos. I will be planting toms, zukes and peppers this year in bags. I have been encouraged to do so because of you. Thank you.

  11. No no no! Milorganite is not made from sewer sludge. It is made from the micro organisms that are used to break down the sewer sludge. It is slow release nitrogen, non-toxic, and does not cause any problems with our waterways. It is impossible to burn any vegetation with it. You are correct in that years ago they found a higher than normal level of heavy metals when tested. This has been corrected long ago and now the rating is very low for metals. The culprit was old pipes in the city of milwaukee, not their process. They have a very strict testing program to make sure that it is very very safe to use. Also, it is heat treated so is basically sterile, so no worries about pathogens. Just so you know, I have nothing to do with the Milorganite folks. I am however from Milwaukee, so I know a thing or two about this famous fertilizer. You should see what is does to my lawn!! Also, to pronounce…mil ORG a nite. Love your videos! Thanks so much!

  12. John is always doing and answering questions. For free. I am so thankful from learning from what he post and from me having to learn the absolute hard way. We all have the choice to do what we want he just gives us the option. Wow what a great and unselfish person to do what he does. Does anyone else do that without a profit for themselves. I just wish I could begin to do what he does What compassion to help others

  13. I am freaked out about using any manure in my vegetable garden. Is it possible to use something else instead of manure?

  14. I know this is a crazy question but would happen if you topped the tomato plant.

Could you grow it in a smaller container?

I'm not used to growing tomatoes in containers.
