The Japanese Beetles have been extra bad this year in my area! Last year I planted a few sacrificial roses plants near the edge of my garden, away from my other plants, to attract the vast majority of the Japanese Beetles. I then hand pick them off the plants and put them in a bucket of soapy water. I'm going to try spraying the plants with soap water to get rid of the female scent. Milky spore helps very good.
Takes several years, but it does control japanese beetles for years.
I use milky spore to control, buy granular form online and use a spreader to hit your lawn. You'll never eliminate them completely but can really reduce the numbers of beetles munching on your plants.

My cherry blossom had Japanese Beatles. Non on my Japanese maples hand picked them and smashed them. I haven’t seen non no more.
When y’all adding shin dishojo ?? I watched y’all 10 at 10 to late last time y’all added some and they where all sold out.
Over here in n.y. were getting alot of spotted latern fly. And in its early stages which i see now they are small black with alot of white spots on their back. They are very fast. I dont see them on my maples or anymore of my trees but what trees will they attack and how to kill them? #japanesemaples

I have 15 different Japanese maples, the Japanese beetles go to only one tree.. Koto no ito.. not sure why, but this is the only tree they go to. Tons of other tress and plants around… I use bioadvance and seven.. seven kills them quickly…
