FALL 2022 COTTAGE GARDEN TOUR AND CLEAN UP: CUTTING BACK HARDY HIBISCUS, DALIAS, NEPETA, AND OTHERS!

It’s fall and all plants are not afraid to change. Most plants in the cottage garden have dropped their leaves and looking a bit sad and want to rest for the season. In this video, I cut back my Hardy Hibiscus in the front yard garden and in the cottage garden as well. I use my Saker Mini Chainsaw because the limbs are to thick for the pruners. I did a quick tour of the cottage garden and side garden. Then explained what needed to be done for the fall clean up. After the tour I got to work and demonstrated how I clean up the plants in the cottage garden. Today I cut back the hibiscus, standard lime light standard tree, amaryllis foliage, day lily foliage, nepeta, tall flox, butterfly bush spent blooms, clematis to 12 inches from the ground, spent blooms on David Austin Roses. Removed all the stems and foliage from the dahlias, leaving the tubers in the ground since i am a Zone 8.
