So, I've got a few random things to say:
-With hindsight, I do kinda agree that the Luigi's Mansion beta game over might not qualify for the iceberg. I initially put it on because I feel like it was only meant to be mildly spooky, yet came out creepier than intended, but honestly, it's not completely unforeseen that it ended up scaring people, so it does feel a little out-of-place with some of the other entries. This was actually one of the first icebergs I made, so there are a few things I'd do differently if I were making it now, heh.
-Since you seem to be confused about why Kphoria was on there, I mostly put it on because, while the videos were meant to be arousing, I find being eaten alive to be a rather disgusting concept, plus the artwork in the video just looks weird (the poor quality of the drawings aren't exactly helping things), so I always found those videos pretty uncomfortable. Although, they might qualify as "gross" more than creepy, now that I think about it. But like you said, they're still harmless at the end of the day.
-I'm honestly kinda glad you discovered that Yoshi's Story video; I wasn't sure if people were gonna get why I put Yoshi's Story on the iceberg.
-I remember you saying that the iceberg felt a little too similar to childhood trauma icebergs in some cases, and tbh I'm starting to kinda agree. I think it could've used a few more entries that aren't unintentionally unnerving/weird kid's media. The lower layers might be a bit better in that regard, though, I dunno.
-Just so you know ahead of time, the very last entry (Chibi-Robo: Zip-Lash) was just a joke entry, referencing Scott the Woz's hatred of the game. Just thought I'd make that clear so you didn't end up scratching your head wondering how on Earth Chibi-Robo would be scary, lmao.
And lastly, I just wanted to thank you once more for covering my iceberg! It really does mean a lot to me that people have been interested in it. 🙂
Maybe it’s unpopular. But i used to love in the night garden. The only part that kinda unsettled me was when igly pigly would be in his little boat in the middle of the ocean
Edit: I’m also glad to see Tin toy. That shit really creeped me out especially the baby
When’s part 3 coming?
God i fucking hated the Klasky Czupo logo as a kid and I still can't bear to look at it to this day.
The Klasky Csupo logo was literally traumatizing for a young me who'd watch rugrats in the morning by myself. That, and Paul from Jimmy Neutron.
19:47 yk i dont find this creepy i just think the audio is funny- like yeah the guy looks werid but he just sounds like a funky guy
The Quiznos sponge monkeys are actually super funny to me
Mr Meaty was one of my favorite shows when I was seven. Only episode that really scared me was the one about Chip the robot. His weird puppetry and a part where he dunked himself into the deep fryer while Josh cries in horror made me so upset. Now it’s all pretty funny, I’ll admit. I actually found the tapeworm hilarious. At least, I did back then. I find kinda it gross now 😅
the Kphoria entry I completely understand why it would be considered creepy if you read into the greater context of the works. it's intentionally made simplistic and cartoonish, there is nothing cynical to it. it's childish. this is the kind of "visual gag" that you see in children's content, but the fact that the creator bases every piece or project around it, along with the art style and presentation being directed towards kids, make it creepy to think that the artist may be attempting to intentionally plant a vore fetish into extremely young impressionable minds. could be a stretch, but do keep in mind the content in question, the fetish that's portrayed, and the target demographic.
16:12 you spelled gushers wrong lol
Nobody from Sesame Street deserves to be on here. He's just two eyes with a mouth educating the viewer on how to count to ten; but with the creepy voice and void of nothingness, it honestly makes sense why Nobody is just plain unnerving. However, he originally came from an art film by Jim Henson about the human mind and subconsciousness before only appearing in Sesame Street once, and never again.
Post-statement: The game over to Luigi's Mansion featuring a depressed Luigi only appeared in the beta. We could also count the table of ghosts in an earlier trailer, King Boo's Bowser form and the scrapped enemy ELH to be unintentionally creepy on the subject matter of Luigi's Mansion.
You unlocked my memory of that logo. Always Scared the SHIT out of me as a kid 😢
I was tapping off a video to tap back on to remove the ads and accidentally tapped on this without knowing there was a new episode, nice.
Hey i mean the sponge monkeys succeeded, now every time I drive by Quiznos i always think of em.
Oh my god… I wish you didn't remind me of KPhoria…
14:00 thats VID, ВИД in cyrillic.
I watched Pui Pui Molcar on Netflix! And apparently, many episodes are also officially uploaded on YouTube.
Really? A gentle soul like Clanker? Scary? He just wants air
Been waiting for this one, love it 🔥
Thanks bro, I’ve been waiting for this
wild that there's people who don't know the spongmonkeys were a thing before they were used in the Quiznos commercial
16:14 never had a Gusters before..
love ur vids!!! 😀
1:35 I belive this is from a Russian TV channel( judging by the logo in the corner). I have no idea why they voiced it over 🤣
18:24 yes you need to talk about the Night Garden
Yes.
Zoomers be like: please my generation gets traumatized for breakfast
The trauma for breakfast:
Those gushers commercials always freaked me out lol
I think another reason why Pui Pui Molcar was in there is because the creator of it is Tomoki Misato, who have made some pretty dark/ creepy stuff like My Little Goat on YouTube, their videos though are super cool and artistic so I recommend watching a few of their videos, just a heads up that they will feature very dark topics that might be triggering to a few people
