In this video I show the container garden renovation of the garden area in front of my efficiency apartment. I begin by showing how it was for several years. During that time I tried to spend the least amount of money on the containers. I have to admit it didn’t look pretty. Recently I decided that bending over and squatting down too much as I am aging wasn’t ideal. Also plants close to the ground were more susceptible to slugs. So I built a couple of raised beds up on legs. As a Guide I watched a YouTube video. But I changed the design slightly. I used redwood boards and 2×4 redwood legs instead of 4×4 because I made the legs shorter and the bed size a little smaller. In addition I did not use tongue and grove on the boards. The second bed is smaller and I reused the cedar boards you see in the before renovation video clips.
