Overwinter pepper plants. October harvest and saving pepper plants to grow again next year.
You’ll need:
Scissor
Indoor potting soil
Peppers are perennials meaning they can grow for more than one year. Remove all the peppers (peppers can be eaten at any stage) and prune the pepper plants. Doing this will hopefully help the plant to regrow next planting season and branch out. Take off all of the leaves and top branches leaving a “Y”. Depending on your climate, place in a greenhouse or take them indoors on a sunny windowsill. Repot them in moist indoor potting soil if you are taking them indoors as its sterile. Peppers do not like frost…if you have zero frost, then you can leave them outside.
