Travis , those chickens are going to love that clover. Those boys are absolutely cute . They sure like the chickens.
My husband and I enjoyed this video! How exciting for the chickens.. What is the kind of carpet clover the chickens are eating?🍀
We loved watching and listening to your kiddos.. New sub my friends! ☺
Am I the only one that wants to know the name of those marigolds? They look beautiful!
Hey Y'all, another family garden fun video. I love watching kids and animals they are so curious so concerned and really learn how to care for something besides themselves. Now you can not beat feeding chickens for free while feeding them very nutritious food. I grew the giant marigolds this year and they were all very healthy and grew well. Last week I got my three garlic varieties in the ground covered with straw for the winter. I got my onion beds all ready for planting and covered the soil with straw for the winter so in the spring I can transplant my onion starts. I am almost all done before winter. y'all take care bless your family bye for now
Keep up the great work 👍. ✌
Oh the boys wilted so fast when their momma came out early!
Also the chickens shouldnt lay until 5 months or so…
The ones i got the same time as you this fall met an unfortunate end with neighborhood dogs who got loose. 😡😡
Not sure when you got your chickens, depending on breed, they can start laying as soon as 18weeks or alll the way to 22 weeks, don't forget the oystershell, and once they start laying you can save the egg shell, let them dry on a drying rack, then when you get a mess of them, take them and crush them up into small pieces, and that can work as well, as well as it is free, another helpful hint is feeding them marigold pulled flower pedals, and the herb marjoram ground or leaves in their feed might help to jumpstart that egg production, I give one or the other to my older hens, and it helps them to produce more eggs in the winter, when they otherwise would really slow down! One thing a lot of people don't know is that the most a Hen will lay in their lifetime is between 600-1000 eggs depending on breed! So if I don't need as many eggs in the winter, I give them gals a break, they will still lay just not every day, it's more like once every 2-3 days per older hen in Winter! Since yours haven't even started yet, when they do this winter, you should expect an egg a day! Their eggs will start out real small and gradually they will start producing larger eggs, but every once in a while, you'll get a Teeny tiny egg, that is more like an oops egg, because those won't have a yolk in them! Hope this helps! I can tell the kids really love taking care of the chickens!
Adorable kids 🙂
Your boys are precious!
Started my onions and garlic about 4wks earlier than you. Hope I didn't start to early. They looking good but need to get something to kind of cover them up for the long winter haul. Any suggestions? As always great video an awesome to see the kids out working with you 😎
It’s time..it’s chicken Time! I love it. A family of Big Van Vader’s!!!
Go Dawgs!!!
Omg. They are ADORABLE
Hey, Travis… Don’t forget that you can dehydrate the onions, then grind them down into a powder for use all season. A small jar makes a good addition to holiday gift baskets — flavor from the garden.
I guess that AG19 frost protection would be okay for our neck of the woods
Love the interaction with those kids enjoying every moment that you can with them. They sure grow fast. On the giant Mary golds what time of year is a good time for them to leave like heat or cooler weather?
Travis, are you aware of any ways to lower my soils PH through my fertilizer injection system?
Don't forget the seeds are in the flower of the marigold, so when they die keep the and collect the seeds.
Surprised you haven't had some good eating size deer in that clover!
Precious kiddos.❤️❤️
five months at least on the eggs… plus, it's really not laying time (winter)… we do still get eggs all winter, but just one here and there… in the spring, watch out, they are gonna be ready.
"No no no no, not my finger!" Hahaha
I love the way daddy is teaching the boys how to treat their momma🥰💐💐
One day they will be cutting flowers for their special girl.
Have you checked into the JADAM system for making organic fertilizer and pest control on the cheap with simple equipment? The link here shows how to make them https://youtu.be/GD9Z5qo285M
Man, I just love your boys. What a Blessing!
Tra vis, I really enjoy your channel. My question today is on onio. I have onion plant starts, how deep should they be planted ? You didn't show us how deep. Tha nks.
Excellent. Going with the clover. Your boys rock!.
Great stuff. Great family. Great chickens! Thanks for the smiles…
Hopefully chickens will lay soon, during the cold weather they don’t lay unless they are under 1 year old, otherwise will have to wait till it warms up.
Nearly missed this video, lucky I found it.
do you have a video on how you guys made your chicken house? i think it would work for my few chickens,,, nope i only tried those when i lived in NEW MEXICO and they grew ok down there,, i`m in UPPER PENINSULA of MICHIGAN now, and it is a whole different growing world here
Bending down takin Lil nibbles I laughed so hard
