Most edger or concrete boarder material is made from quickrete concrete. the edging makes a great lawn boarder. In this video we install espalier trees so I don’t lose valueable mowing realestate on a smaller lot size. The espalier trees grow along my fence line and still bare fruit. I was thinking of lawn border ideas and found the best thing to do was copy what I already have. Thanks for watching and enjoy.

why would you put the trees so close to the fence.?
Curb is great idea and looks awesome, but in retrospect do you think you should have had it come in more (toward the house) to give you room to plant between the curb and the fence?
4$/foot?? The best I can find here is 8$/foot.
$4 per linear feet? We are at $12 per linear feet in CA.

What about drainage away from the house? Seems like it would trap water…
Not many understand that hiring professionals, although may seem expensive at first, it will save you money in the long run and you get quality work as opposed to the poor quality if your do it yourself.

Concrete edging is tacky and useless imo. I can't stand homeowners or contractors that use this method.

I think of you put trees right on a fence line you should have to pay to clean your neighbors yard too, as well as be responsible for any for damage to the wall or neighbors home
Just seen this video and it kinda hurt to watch. Iβve done flat work concrete and residential curbing before. He put no fiber mesh in the curb for reinforcement. When he was pushing it out either he was going to fast or the mix was to dry. (In my opinion a little of both) All those cracks when he was pushing will show eventually. And by putting the curb down that far in the ground you run the risk of the ground swelling and going over the curb. Not a fan of their process. But I do like your design choices the curves look great. Enjoy watching your vids!

I know this video is a couple years old. BUT, Iβm in Utah, north of SLC. You mentioned renting a curb machine. Did you actually find anyone that rents them??? I used to work with a curbing guy and Iβd like to rent one and do my own yard.
Iβm in Scotland, back garden has edging stones round topped. The grass is level with the tops and it grows flat over the edge. An absolute pain. Even to strim itβs hard to hit the flat bits. I cut about 5β of turf away right around and haunched some concrete in there. The grass will grow flat across this again but itβs more manageable, Iβm not lazy but itβs just a bore using the weed whacker, rather like to just walk up and down with the mower! πβπ»π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
im over 2 minutes in and no concrete specifics. Now watching more trees …..ummm. now sprinklers damage…umm….jerry rig this or that …….ummm

Iβve layed down over 500 feet of mow strip using a rig like they have (brother loaned me his setup). You can do this work with two people, although it takes longer.. and it takes practice getting the right cement mix and using the toolβ¦ if you only have one weekend to get the job done, I would not recommend renting the equipment because youβll spend a good portion of the first day, figuring out your systemβ¦ also when putting down around trees, double the area you think you need or youβll just end up with broken strips as the tree growsβ¦

Thatβs an awful π long time to wait for your curbing. It would seem like π a week at most. I would have been frustrated along the way. I remember a time when we were promised an ice cream π¦ sandwich, when in kindergarten. That was 1977, or 1978. I never π got my ice cream sandwich, which I was a bit mad about at the time. Well, thatβs almost π 45 years ago, and Iβm pretty sure I had plenty of ice cream sandwiches along the way. Iβm glad ya didnβt have to wait that long. Your friend, Jeff.
