Cool fact: I noticed two little pink flowers emerging on my begonia rex ‘Fairy’. Delighted, I went in for a closer look to find two very different flowers: one with 4-petals and spiky yellow middle part; the other with 6-petals, a pronounced “fin” on the back, and a yellow middle part that I can only describe as brain-like. I learned from one of my tumblr followers that begonias have separate male (4-petal) and female (6-petal) flowers on the same plant. Fascinating!
