Plant Rant: observing leaf maturity – currently, these two leaves are about the same size. Which one would you say appears to have potential to get much larger? When I look at these two leaves, the one on the left just looks stronger with its more pronounced pattern and rippled surface. Indeed, the one on the right is actually a month old and the left, a week old. Thus, one can glean from the leaf character the growth potential.
