it's a big mistake to plant fig trees near your house because their shallow roots will damage your house structure and your underground pipes, it might take a few years but trust me, they will cause problems
OK..,but do they do better in the shade or out in direct Sun? I live in Texas so the Sun does bare down in the Summers. What would you suggest.
My sources say not to mix mulch into soil and do not fertilize newly planted tree.
