  1. A bird "donated" blackberries to my garden. For transplanting, I think it's better to wait until winter or at least late fall. IDK if foliage will fall off in your more southern zone the way it does here, but that's when I transplant. If your blackberries all die, try getting them started from seed. I think it's a bit difficult to get a bird to "donate" right where you want them. Blackberries grow like weeds in full sun if you have good mulch keeping their soil moist.

  2. You are so eager! Try planting the peas thickly they tend to support themselves. With the watermelon just 2 to 3 in a group or they may take over! I plant things together that are eaten together like tomatoes, peppers and basil etc .. carrots with onions so that the onions hide the smell of the carrots for the bugs… garlic can be planted with anything its a great deterrent to bugs! Hope you do great! Pls keep on gardening with that beautiful little one!

  3. Just found your channel today and subscribed. I’m in SE Texas and my pepper seed germination was horrible this year as well. Very disappointing. All the best for a great growing season.

  4. Container soil DOES NOT HOLD the nutrients for long, just like the moisture. Rain, watering, your plants themselves (especially heavy feeders like tomatoes & eggplants) will 'deplete' your container soil of it's nutrients. You must find both a 'Slow Release' and a 'Water Soluble' fertilizer that your comfortable with and FEED your plants. Worm Tea can be ordered and used as a 'water soluble' fertilizer, and it's organic. Some Big Box fertilizers are 'Certified Organic' and from what I understand they have to 'jump through hoops' to get that certification. lol

Amend your 'Container' soil if you don't amend anything else to give your plants a chance. And then, use the Soluble fertilizer every 7 to 14 days. That doesn't say you can't still lose them but maybe not all of them. Last year my tomatoes were fine but my cucumbers said, 'Nah, we out of here!' lol It's good if you have the rainwater to do that on the regular cause I think 'chlorinated' water is properly not the best thing to give our gardens but most have no choice right?

  5. You all are the best. God bless you all. Train up a child in the way it should grow and when she is old she will not depart from it.
