  1. Nice one Tony, This should have been a competition between you & JB, I would have loved the laughs. 😄

  2. Great job – I have a similar style compost bin!
I liked your black netting cover that you can pick up and move – could you put a link for it?

  3. So funny, you would have possibly liked it more if it was assembled correctly… you still have notches on the top… like the others said pallet collars for cheap raised beds. Take care …

  4. to be honest tony it would be better in the greenhouse,,
out in the open garden its gonna rot away in 18months,,,,,Ed

  5. Always a pleasure watching Tony do DIY lol should make a TV series lol give us all a good laugh 😂

  6. My anxiety levels start to peak when I see you with a hammer ! and dont get me started about that power saw! Congratulations, you did a thing…made a raised bed ..no cuss words…nothing broken…9/10 !…Steve…🤣

  7. i had one of those from our dutch diy market and the thin bits are for the top, you' end with a slot, that,s where the thin ones go so you get a straight edge. I bought mine on clearance for a tenner, still too much 😉

  8. Curious? Does it not start with 2 half rails, full rails linking, then finish with half rail? 🤔

  9. Hi Tony, I've just looked at that raised bed and from what I can see the thin strips fit on top to give it the same height all round. Two long thin ones on bottom, two short thin ones finish top.

  10. That Raised Bed by Lacewing on Amazon Tony is ok, but the video it's showing is for their own Compost Bin where they have those angled slats at the front to keep the Compost in. The video even says Compost Bin.

  11. I've been so lucky when doing my day to day job I noticed a load of fence planks 6ft long they had been lying for a while, I asked the owner and he said I could have the lot for £30, I built 5 6ftx3ft beds and still have enough for one more , definatly a bargain forgot to say they are 2 planks high 🙂

  12. £30 !!! Pallet collars Tony ,pallet collars lol 120×80 free or at most £8 .I stack them two high for my carrots .

  13. You could have gone into your local B&Q and got Palette Collars off the shelf, no delivery charge. Small one 800mm x 800mm £16 and a 1200 x 800 mm £20 both sizes with hinged corners which fit together with a single pin and you can stack them. Fitted together in minutes. They say larger one takes 3 x 50L bags of compost which they also sell.

  14. You built it wrong man lol. take the 2 small halves out from the bottom which will allow the long side to be knocked right down and close the gap in the side, then the 2 small halves on the top of the ends to finnish to flush height 👍
    build order – 2 x long halves, 2 x short sides, 2 x long sides, 2 x short sides, 2 x long sides, 2 x short halves 👌

  15. Hey Tony, I checked the amazon link you provided and there are none available to ship to the US. Be sure Steve sees you working on this video!!.Nice job on the build and finding the budget item on amazon. BE safe bye for now

  16. Tony Tony Tony. You start off with 2 long thin ones and2 thick short ones. Use the remaining thick ones and then finish off with 2 short thin ones to make it all level.

  17. Tony, these days, I drag a chair to the bed to sit down while I do whatever. I would to put that bed together too. I know, but I'm no longer a spring chook LOL. For $29 that's a bargain. 🙂
