Yay, to a new vlog and to knitting again! 🎉😊
Thanks for all your vlogs, you are so talented! What is that floating door behind you when you're talking about the gardening books?
Poor Jafar (sp?) is missing his sister too! I notice we hear him a lot more now that he's a singular cat. 🥰
Double yeah to you knitting again!!! Andrew is so awesome💕💕💕
Is this podcast post wedding? I know how hard it is to overcome the death of a furbaby, (I lost 2 felines; Alex & Jade) and still miss them. I still have Jade’s baby; Lulu a tuxedo who is still hanging in at 19 yrs old. When I adopted Jade, a stray in my neighborhood, she brought me her 2 1/2 wk old baby! Enjoyed my night spent with you as always!!
Love all you do but shouted an audible woooo hooo when I saw the title of this episode!
I recommend The Last Garden in England by Julia Kelly.
At about 20:00 when you’re talking about gardening books….is that Jafar snoring? So cute! 😻 Also, I love your striped thrift store dress…does it happen to have a label in it?
Amazing episode again. Can't wait to see the progression of your wips!
I need that headband pattern asap. ♥♥♥♥ Just saw my face on your vlog, thank you ♥♥
Brome Fields has a free knitted headband 💐 name is Friendship headband 💐 Thank you for sharing so much time on these blogs
Good to hear you have Your Knitting Mojo Back ❤
love your yarn organization system!
Could you make a stocking hat, but leave the center with a hole, so you can put your hair through? Just a thought. It's good to see and hear you talking about knitting. Been a while. I'm currently knitting the new 2022 Stephen West Mystery KAL. It's been a blast, as usual with his patterns. I did last years shawl, Shawlography and the year before Mystery KAL, Slipstravaganza. That's my favorite one, slipstravaganza. I bought the Pengowno pattern but haven't cast on yet. I'm also knitting a sweater, but it's sitting in time out until this KAL is over. All the food looks so yummy. Thank you for sharing it all with us.
I have a book recommendation for you 😊
"The Fair Botanists" by Sara Sheridan, set in Edinburgh, it is a novel based on facts around the development of the Botanic Gardens, with strong female protagonists who garden and illustrate. I am still reading it, but absolutely recommend it so far! A cracking read!
Here are a couple book recommendations: The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert (fiction; not gardening specific but one of the main characters is a botanist). A Year on the Garden Path by Carolyn Herriot (non-fiction but has a narrative element if I'm remembering correctly). Happy reading and gardening!
The yarn for Andrews socks are merinowool, but they have a high twist
Great to see you knitting again! But I would watch your videos no matter what you were doing. Your roast looked amazing!
Do you think Andrew would be willing to share his chili recipe? I have yet to find my favorite!
Love to see your knitting again! It’s been a minute. How did you enjoy The ceviche making class? I was thinking of signing up but wanted to wait and hear what you thought.
I am going through a finish it or frog it time right now with my knitting. Some of it has sat so long it's embarrassing 😳
So glad to see the knitting come out! I may need to try one of those headbands for my granddaughters. I love Banana Republic. Bought my favorite dress of all time there. It is why I suggested the long turtleneck for that fabric you showed an episode or two ago. I may have to try some dahlias in my garden for next year. They are quite speaking to me lately. The friends meal looked delish. Stay safe.
In Search of Lost Roses is one I liked. ByThomas Christopher
I wore my Clark socks to Rhinebeck last week and thought about you!
Yay for knitting again! Hafar is keeping you occupied.
Animal Vegetable Miracle is one of my favorite books. I loved it so much, I read it when it first came out and I’m waiting for the audiobook from my library. I’m looking forward to listening to it on my walks.
Jaclyn, I enjoy your videos so much. Relaxing to watch and very informative and entertaining also. I used to do a lot of sewing now it’s cooking, knitting, gardening, reading, walking and painting. You have a lot of what I enjoy. If I didn’t mention it before I think your music choices are ideal for your content. Keep up the good work. I look forward to watching you and Andrew and kitty. So sorry about Mika. 😊❤️
I was going to recommend Barbara Kingsolver! Really any of her work.
A book that I enjoyed reading is “Out in the Garden – Growing a Beautiful Life” by Dean Riddle
Did you ever watch the movie A Little Chaos with Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman? It’s a period piece about a female being awarded to design a garden at Versailles. It’s a 2014 movie. The movie is sort of a version of the books you seem to be looking for.
👻❤️😘
I have been “designing” my 1/3 acre garden on a stream in the Fraser Valley for 25 years and have made changes every year, big and small. Bought the Sissinghurst book for my mom when we were in London and inherited it from her this year. Hope to visit that garden some day.
please continue talking books. i love the novel about gardening too- would love your reviews
Did you like the movie you saw? I've seen the trailer but I'm still unsure whether it's worth watching or not 😁
“Sometimes done is better than perfect.” I love that so much Jaclyn. ❤
