  1. One of the other gardeners said they are ready to harvest when just can gently press your thumb in and it leaves a slight indent. Water well throughout the growing season so the skin doesn't end up bitter.

  2. great video , thank you for sharing, i have eggplant plants in a big Tupperware its has a flower already im excited to harvest them ❤️.

  3. Thank you again! I watch all your videos, they are very inspiring. I just planted eggplants a couple of days ago in 5 gallon grow bags like you have shown. My transplants were pretty much the same size as yours. But now some of them are flowering. It is an early fruiting variety but even then are not the plants too small to flower and bear fruit? If they flower this soon the plant wont have energy to drop roots and grow, right? I cut off the flowers. Then I am wondering maybe I shouldn't have the plant knows what to do? What do think? Do you ever trim off some eggplant blooms?

  4. Hi.. I'm wondering why partial branch, the leaves all are wilted.. But only 1 branch.. Is it because lacking a water? or from rain?

  5. Great video! Questions: Can eggplants be grown indoor? If it is grown outdoor, how much sunlight does it need, and what is the ideal watering frequency?

  6. Thank you for your video, I have been looking for simple growing instructions, size of pot, compost mix, amount of water etc for some time now and you have just answered all my questions in your video. 😁👍

  7. I'm in North Texas. Do eggplant tolerate heat well ? We have 3 growing seasons: Spring, Summer & Fall. When is it best to start the seeds ? Do they like lots of sun….or mostly just morning….or more shade ?

  8. I have another question. We are in the middle of winter here in NZ (mild fluctuating temperatures ranging between 41 and 60 fahrenheit) and our eggplant plant looks in great condition, but lots its flowers. We only got a few eggplants, as we planted it late. Is the plant useless, or can it remain in the ground until summer. We are going to install a small greenhouse soon, so could I pot then it to store in the greenhouse or indoors to plant again in summer? Thanks.

  9. Thank you so much for sharing this. This is the first year that I caught the garden bug and I have one lone eggplant that appears to be growing very nicely. However, I have two questions for you please : what are the clips that you put around the stake and plant, and what is the best time to start growing eggplant seeds. Thank you in advance.

  10. Hello….just found your video and subscribed….so informative and love the step by step instructions and as other viewers said it’s great to see what the plant should look like as it grows…..I want to check if you have a video on starting the seeds (which I am assuming is indoors)???? Do I need grow lights?????? I just bought Black Beauty Eggplant from my favorite seed company MiGardener….. 11. You don't pot up before going to the 5 gallon? And you just used an npk fertilizer?

  12. Beautiful plants! Thank you for this very informative video. Where do you buy your seeds from?

  13. I tried to start eggplant from seeds. Seeds germinated well and i re- potted plants in bigger planters. But growth is very slow and there are no flowers even after 4 months. Any suggestions?
