SPRING CONTAINER GARDEN with California Spring Blooming 🪴 Plants -Unique! Shirley Bovshow

Take a look at my spring container garden filled with flowering plants that bloom in the spring in California! I’ve included some favorite spring bulbs such as daffodils as well as other non-traditional spring container plants! This design will give you new, out-of-the-box spring container ideas!

I designed this portable container garden as a “California-Style” arrangement with lots of color and flowers!

Flowering pink Armeria maritima (“Sea thrift”)
Golden Sedum Angelina
California Poppy- gorgeous orange poppy is the official flower of California
Spring Cactus (flowering succulents)
Daffodil’s – yellow spring flowers. Planted as a bulb

I used a short wood planter and filled it with well-draining potting soil. Some of the plants were planted in the soil while other plants stayed in their nursery container and submerged into the soil as is. This technique makes it easy to switch out plants seasonally while maintaining a few permanent plants in the container as structure plants!
