Building A Garden Basket For Supplies And Picking

This is finally the video about how I make the garden baskets that we use.
This is the hardware cloth I got at Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-2-in-x-2-ft-x-5-ft-PVC-Hardware-Cloth-308253EB/205960854

  1. Excellent project and craftsmanship as usual! I'm with you on those Kreg screws, bought a bunch when I bought my screw kit. Thanks for sharing! Stay safe!!

  2. I have to hide this from my husband … he would love to have a workshop like yours! Amazing project. Stay safe everyone.

  3. I like your idea that you made nice basket with different materials. To be used as garden basket the mesh is the best, I think.

  4. Beautiful baskets much nicer than anything you could ever buy. If you could buy a basket like these it would probably cost a fortune. Thanks for sharing this project.

  5. Thank you for taking are minds off corona for awhile. God Bless

  6. Beautiful work of art. The only thing I would change is I would use brass screws for any that are showing. "Where love and skill work hand and hand expect a master piece."

  7. Really enjoy watching all your content. I'm very interested in finding one of those mats with the angles and other information printed on it – the work surface you were using to assemble the basket. Thanks!

  8. Awesome job!!! Do you ever sell any of these? Your a real perfectionist!! Stay safe and healthy to you and your family!!

  9. Resaw wide boards – if the band saw can't hack it alone, and that board is 11" … use the Table saw to help – slot into it from each edge , you can probably get close to 4" in from each edge, then you would only have 3 – 5 " to resaw, and a lot less waste to plane off.

I don't have a band saw yet and this is how I resaw, only I have to use a hand saw for the bit int he middle … and hand planes … you kids with all that new fangled stuff – Oh how I'm green with envy! ( as green as your Grizzly stuff !)

  10. Gorgeous. Thanks for showing all the details. I'd be lucky to put together a couple of pizza peels and some molding but I'm always in awe of the way you craft things.

  11. New subscriber to your channel, checking out your videos, please subscribe back to Gene Cooksey, thanks

  12. If I made something like that, I couldn't bring myself to use it in the garden. That's high grade furniture that belongs in a museum. πŸ™‚

  13. i don't need one of these, but now i want one lol. great work, looks fantastic!

  14. 🌻πŸ₯¦πŸ‡πŸ₯’πŸ₯¬ I just discovered your YouTube Chanel and I really need to say: how amazing is everything that you do. Attention to details In Everything. I am in love to watch your videos. And this night I introduced to my husband and he really enjoy it too. The way you do work is inspiring and we can see that you love what you do. Your garden is beautiful. I am wondering where are you, I am in CT, if it not very far I told my husband I would love to buy veggies directly from your garden. Also the snacks and sauces that look so delicious… of course I will like all your videos and I already subscribed because you deserve it. Thanks for sharing it. I love people who do things with care, attention, simple the best. Thank you πŸ™πŸ»

  15. Those are absolutely perfect. I wish I had the talent & equipment to make a couple. You have such a talent & patience to make these. To bad your state is so expensive to be able to sell them. I'm positive you could do very well selling these. Stay healthy & thank you for all the videos.

  16. Thank you for your detailed video. My wife, an avid gardener, saw a garden hod pictured on the internet–made and sold in Maine. She requested one for her birthday. I found your video and liked your design better. I am finishing it up now. I liked the idea of the Kreg screws, but wanted a brass look. I found a brass Cabinet Screw with a T-15 star drive low profile washer head at Home Depot by GRK Fasteners. It has a low profile washer head. Because of the low profile head, I am able to use them on the rails instead of the flathead countersink screws. Thanks again. I am sure my wife will enjoy this basket.

  17. Love your basket so much! I saw some on Etsy but they don't hold a candle to yours πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing how you made it. I will try to make a more simple one and with a branch for a handle. Just was wondering why you use the vinyl coated hardware cloth instead of without the coating?

  18. How long is yours and wide? What size of staples to use? Thank you so much! I want to make one as a gift for my dad and one for myself too. πŸ˜‰

  19. That is very nice. Those that you make are far nicer looking than any that a person can buy. Yours is probably a lot stronger.

  20. Nice video, thanks for the ideas. I do have one question for you what Laser were you using? Been thinking about getting one and that one looked like it might fit my purpose. Thanks in advance.

  21. Love your voice! And I love that you're just as OCD as I am!! Lol 😊
