Removing 20 mature holly shrubs, two juniper plants, and one sago palm. I cut them down rather than pull them out as the client didn’t want to spend the extra money to rip them out or repair any possible irrigation damages that would likely come from pulling 15 year old shrubs that grew right next to irrigation supply lines. City provides free pickup of yard debris (they have two TL3 hydraulic scoop loaders that make it zero labor for the employees) if left at the curb, so there is no point in charging customers more to haul it away.

Are you solo?
Thatโs gonna grow back. But I have done this before for cheaper price
That yard looks very good
Fun fact. It was the wrong house. He did the neighbors house by accident haha
This dork is one of the top con artists in Florida. Preys upon the elderly and rips them off. Hard to believe the DA hasn't stopped him yet.
You're not charging nearly enough. I would have charged 800$ to rip it out, roots and all, I use chains and rip it out with the truck.
Excellent jobโฆ well worth more that your fee.
Nice work, I own an Echo battery chain saw. It's just right. No mixing, no noise and no fumes. I live in an older neighborhood and in the summer all we hear are gas chain saws..Nice work, lot's of good ideas here and in the end, all them imposing bushes are gone..
Pretty cheap
I think the place looks horrible now! To me it looked better with the shrubs. Stupid is as stupid does.
That was cheap. I would have been close to double that.
All this did was create a problem doing it that way. Those bushes should have been pulled up. There's gonna be sprouts from the roots pop up every where this summer . You'll never get rid of them now unless you dig up the roots and you sure ain't gonna be planting anything in there on the account of all the roots left everywhere. Those bushes would've come out easy with a chain. We do bunches like that every year. If we throwed all that mess in the road around here we'd be fined.
What i use for getting at the roots is a Sawzall! It really makes the job so easy! chainsaw it down to the ground and Sawzall the roots in a circle and use a shovel to pry it up!
Sometimes less is more.
Wow! I would've charged at least $600
Love the idea of using the tarp to drag vegetation. definitely gonna do that going forward. do you ever get pushback about the stumps remaining? i had a customer get real upset and i told him that stump grinding is not cheap and requires specific equipment after which he saw some sense.
censored for our protection
I would love to see the after because i liked the before. I would just trim the bushes away from the house, add more palms and make it looks new again.
Total waste of my time watching this video that I'll never get back. I can't believe you are still in business working that way. I'm not in landscaping, but I now know that I can make it if you do.
#1 water the roots and use the truck to pull them out. Even as an anchor point with a come-a-long. #2 use a saw commonly known as a "partner saw" (yes, I know it's a brand) with a carbide tip blade. You can cut below ground without ruining your chainsaw chain. It will still keep cutting. Or use a sawzall with an "outdoor" wood blade.
So you guys in the US have this thing where you can leave stuff at the roadside and it will be collected and disposed of by the city council. I wish we had that in the UK, I can think of several of my wifes relatives I could leave at the roadside….
This guy needs a real chainsaw
Should have removed roots
so that took about an hour and a half maybe?
Quick question does the shrubs will eventually grow again or no

Why??? Those are some very nice mature plantings!! Just trim them?????????
Wouldn't they grow back since the roots/stump weren't removed? We have this exact problem now
How much did you charge?
i would have left them a little higher,so got something to swing on when digging out.
