Located in the small town of Norridgewock Maine is this off grid cabin with mountain views and over 48 acres of private forestland. If your dream is to own a piece of Vacationland, with no neighbors in site, this is your property.

The main cabin is 20 x 24 with an open floor plan and one bedroom on the first level. The cabin also has a sleeping loft. The heating system is a propane stove. There is a 8 x 20 deck overlooking Little Bear Mountain to the east. The siding is the traditional board and batten, and the metal roof will take care of the snow removal for you.

If you need more space, there is a log cabin bunk house which is 12 x 16 and has a 8 x 16 deck. This is privately located about a hundred feet from the main cabin.

If you enjoy ATVing and snowmobiling, you have access to both trail systems. Go spring brook trout fishing in nearby Martin Stream, or if you are looking for bigger waters, the Kennebec River is about 15 minutes away from the property. If you enjoy boating, North Pond and East Pond are both about 20 minutes away in the town of Smithfield.

The elevations on the property run from about 250 feet to 380 feet above sea level. The property has mostly a hardwood forest.

Boston is an easy 3 ¼ hour drive which is mostly I-95. The closest city is Waterville Maine about 15 minutes way. This is a great recreational property.

  1. aye my late uncle is Benedict Arnold that’s cool history to know. I always watch y’all videos real funny to hear that on here haha big love

  2. It seems like they made a good foundational effort on the main cabin, but then just not pushing through the last 10% of insulation and finishing it up leaves me very perplexed for these things.

  3. This place really peaked my interest, until I saw the taxes. Way to high for this incomplete property development. Any tree growth program possibilities Peter?

  4. Loved the drive into the property!(steamed cattail flowers & sumac lemonade!) Both building are wonderful. And the views😍! Someone is going to be very happy here. Thanks for the tour Pete!😊

  6. So, no water? Has any attempt been made to drill a well? Is there an outhouse? I saw no bathrooms 🤷🏻 It looks like someone has been staying there so.. ?? 😳 Do they just use the woods or do they have an RV or something?

  9. I fell in love with Maine in the early to mid 1970s, when as a 18 year old kid, I was a Navy Aircrewman out of Brunswick NAS. I eventually completed college, earned a commission, and had a fine Navy career. Some of that career, I was involved in environmental restoration of Maine’s wetlands, anadromous fishery runs, and wildlife. My second career was as a federal wildlife law enforcement officer, and for part of that career I regularly patrolled parts of Maine, and later, I became a Chief of Law Enforcement, and Maine, along with 12 other northeastern states were my responsibility. I’m retired now, and live a bit further south in New England, but eventually, I’ll find my piece of Heaven a bit closer to the coast. Understandably, I spent so many years at sea that I’d prefer the coast. I most certainly do have to admit…..this property is tempting! And that view? The stargazing must be unimaginably outstanding! Thank you sir, for the tour!
