I thought the US government is not a totalitarian regime. This is far more restrictive than any communist countries. Let's move to China. I'm sure the government there would encourage people to grow edible vegetables rather than waste valuable land to grow useless grass.

I think we should Outlaw growing grass in the yard if it has to be sprayed with chemicals because that is damaging our soil and our water supply. And we should outlaw chemical herbs and pesticides and fungicides. And only used organic products.
I would venture to say those who have created those laws obviously do not grow their own vegetables and they want all of the home surrounding their homes to look the same with lawns and non-edible garden ornamental shrubs Etc so that their house will be worth more

People should be able to grow any vegetables they want on their own land, it's shocking that people are not allowed to grow vegetables in their own garden, it's different if they are renting a property, but not on people's own land.

Too Sad….back in WAR TIMES (world war I & II) ,The purpose of the Victory Garden Initiative was to support the war effort. People throughout the United States grew their own produce in yards, parks, and other community spaces so that all available resources could go towards the war effort.

Update….the Florida Supreme Court upheld the right of Miamo Shores to keep their law. However, local law makers are now trying to pass a Bill that would make it illegal for those local ordinances to be enacted. The Bill didnt get out of committee in 2018, but they are trying again in 2019. Fingers crossed!
