Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. I am by no means an expert, just someone who enjoys sharing my garden journey.

In today’s video, I’ll go over the tips I’ve learned over the last few years growing raspberries in containers.

  1. Yes!! We love raspberries!!
I made the mistake of planting ours in our veggie patch and it has spread heaps. It’s covered in flowers so at least we’ll get a heap of fruit 😅

  2. I bought 2 raspberries a couple of years ago so the primo canes are this years flora canes looking forward to my first harvest of home grown container raspberries!!!

  3. Great tips! I bought some raspberries at a nursery a few years ago and put them in the back of my yard in a rocky area, so they won't encroach on the lawn, they're doing okay. As far as containers, I did get some triple crown thornless blackberry starts last year from Stark I put in a galvanized tub, then this spring I got the Bushel & Berry babycakes Blackberry & strawberry stortcake Raspberry bushes meant for containers (also Stark Bros) – looking forward to seeing how they all produce next year!!

  4. Good afternoon I just have a quick question. When you moved away from the raspberries what was the plant over your shoulder?
    Great video by the way!
I have blueberries and blackberries so I think I should have raspberries.
