Garden Plans

VLOG – Winter Garden Prep + Plans

Winter garden prep has started! I want to empty and clean out a lot of these pots before the weather gets warmer because I have so many plans and jobs to do outdoors in the Spring, so any start I can make now is a win. I’m going to put a video together specifically about the garden and the bathroom separately for those wanting more specific info but I will update you in the vlogs in between!

Welcome to my second channel! Here I post everything I don’t feel flows with my MissBudgetBeauty vibe and that usually equates to luxury hauls/reviews, travel content and vlogs. If you’re in to that kind of thing, stick around and subscribe!

  1. Your gran’s garden sounds amazing! I got really into gardening in the first lockdown. I think your mint should be fine cut back that far. I did the same to my parsley in the autumn and it came back super healthy

In the last week my gin and tonic plant and star jasmine have just started to flower – Spring is slowly on its way and I’m far too excited to see everything I’ve planted coming up

  2. I wouldn't paint your outside chairs, it's such a high traffic area spray paint isn't great at holding up in. Give them a good clean and if they still need a face-lift you could make new cushion covers for them. I really enjoy seeing what you do hut possibly even more I enjoy hearing your thought process as you go.

  3. Yes that's what I do with my mint every year and it always comes back great in the spring. I get so excited to get our pressure washer out each year, it's so satisfying haha.

  4. Yes with the mint its easier to grow than get rid of it really spreads, my fault. I have a summer house like yours and use it loads all year round as a chill room and for crafts.

  5. I just finished watching your last video then this one popped up, so my break just got 12 minutes longer….love that! 😊

  6. Stick plastic sandwich bags over the rose cutting pots to propergate. Top up the water once a week and in a month you'll have new roses

  7. There are several apps that let you submit a photo of a plant and then identify. Might give them a try to figure out.

  8. Lidl has a great pressure washer its £99. The pressure is so strong. Think the furniture wudnt wear well , think it wud be nicer just washed aswell. Love gardening . Love planting lillies they come back every year and the foliage is beautiful . Itz going to be great all finished . Xx

  9. Your plans look great for your garden. I need to binge watch your videos since you moved into rest of house. Love these type of videos😀xx

  10. I use it for clean crafts not painting. We have a fire place and sofas and cocktail stand for bbq and kettle and stuff really handy room.

  11. I think that plant you are unsure of may be a Hibiscus. Very pretty and colourful towards the end of the Summer. I think you should keep and plant. Needs a bit of space.

  12. OMG you can grow roses from bouquets??? How i never knew? I'm off to shops to get some and try it.

  13. Love your greenhouse set up. I have one of those cheapy plastic ones but I'm super jealous of your set up. It's really exciting seeing your plans for the garden 🙂

  14. Here's a tip – if you don't have a cover for your seed propagators , use plastic bags :-). Put the bag over the pot/tray after you've watered them, and use an elastic band or piece of string to secure it. When you start to see growth, remove them 🙂

  15. You can use French chic alfresco paint on the outdoor furniture. There’s a French chic fan forum on Facebook which will give you loads of ideas and info.

  16. Far left pot up against brick wall look like hyacinth.. the rest look like tulips and daffs.

  17. We found decking really slippy and like an ice rink so deffo make sure you look at the non slip stuff you can get now x

  18. I spray my patio furniture every few years to freshen it up. I tried doing a table lighter and it was black before did not work well sadly. But the black on black is nice.

  19. I think I have similar laminate worktops to you, how do you keep it streak free!?! I wash them down and dry them, still streaky in certain light! Giving me serious OCD!

  20. Those are tulips, tulips have that curved leaf as they are coming up and Daffodils are usually straight.

  21. Great start on the garden, Khila I'm very envious of that big shed, I would definitely keep some(all) of it for potting. The first tree you couldn't identify looks like it might be a buddleia?
Also roses are really easy to propagate and don't need to be kept indoors. I cut non flowering stems (semi-ripe) and just push them into an unused part of the garden, they've usually rooted in 12 months or less and can be lifted. I'm sure your grandma can tell you all this, she sounds like an experienced plant woman!
