Front Yard Garden

Colorful Drought Tolerant Garden

I’m really psyched to take you through one my Songbird Garden Design’s drought tolerant gardens that was installed almost 3 years ago. Walk with me as I talk about the plants and hardscape that was selected. This is a Southern California inland garden where the temperature can reach over 100 degrees weeks at a time as well as frost in winter. Please leave Questions in the Comment section. Thanks for watching!

  1. It’s nice when a larger property has meandering pathways to walk and enjoy the garden from all angles. Great video/plant commentary and birdsong! Felt like I was taking an outdoor break!

  2. The music blends so well with the content, I noticed it on the second viewing and paid more attention. A soothing composition!

  3. MB I wish I had a house close by you and plenty of space for you to work your miracles in the garden…

  4. Have many of these plants- but the gophers have been eating the Kangaroo Paws and Phormium off at the ground. Any suggestions on keeping these plants alive?

  5. Great job and thanks for the tour. So much color and I love the emphasis on drought tolerant plants. What a soothing and calming atmosphere.

  6. Unfortunately, my drought tolerant plants all rotted during a normal summer when we had an average summer rainfall.
