  1. Great work Jack. Keep these intro to commercial work videos coming, really helpful. Thanks!

  2. Great video Jack. Thank you. I'm 5 years into my business. Spent 15 years as a mechanical engineer/tool maker in Leighton buzzard.
Retrained, got RHS qualified. Moved with my family to Rutland. Love plants, planting up borders that I've designed.
I'm 95% domestic. Half acre gardens. Borders and hedges, shrubs. I do a few meduim grass cuts. I'm fully booked and busy. Last two years I've tried having part time staff. Struggling to find the right person. I picked up my first regular commercial client a few months ago. A upmarket block of apartments. 26 in total. No grass to cut. Some hedges, general tidy up.
I'm image is very domestic looking! Joe's Garden Care. I thought it would be a personable name. 5 years ago I was just finding my feet. Didn't imagine that the business would grow as it has.
I feel with a few small commercial contracts would give me the extra work so I could employ someone full time. I'd love a business that could run while I took a short holiday! If I get ill, everything stops!
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. There's some great points I'll be thinking about. Definitely think it's good to help the industry has a whole. Knowing our worth and not under selling ourselves!
