I visited Hamarikyu Gardens (浜離宮恩賜庭園), a public park in Chūō ward, Tokyo, Japan. Located at the mouth of the Sumida River, it was opened to the public on April 1, 1946.
The admission fee is only 300 yen ($2), very affordable price for all the things you can see in the garden. I also visited Nakajima-no-ochaya (中島の御茶屋), a traditional tea house in Hamarikyu Gardens. There, I tried matcha (green tea) and nerikiri (a Japanese traditional sweet made of white bean jam, Chinese yam and glutinous rice flour) for 850 yen ($7).
