Project: Garden Pod at Gardens by the Bay | Architect: LAUD Architects
Garden Pod is an eco-friendly hospitality concept designed with sustainable principles in mind, providing a unique experience and a comfortable overnight stay for guests within a tranquil zen garden surrounded by bamboo and trees right in the heart of Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay.
Nestled within the unique foliage of the Serene Garden next to a minimalist Japanese gazebo, the hotel is made up of 4 duplex suites (Maple, Juniper, Jasmine & Bamboo) fashioned from repurposed 40-footer containers and outfitted with photovoltaic panels that harvest clean solar energy.
The solar panels generate up to 80% of the hotel’s energy consumption, keeping carbon and waste footprints to a minimum. Each suite is equipped with natural lit living space, a spiral staircase connecting the two floors, and patios offering breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline view and tranquil nature.
